Heavenly Desserts Walsall — Restaurant in Walsall

Haven't been to HD for a while as last time we visited they were out of stock of many of the things we wanted. Thought we'd give them another chance but not sure why we bothered. They had a new menu which is great but again so many items were not in stock and we were told that head office are only releasing them abit at a time, but what was the excuse last time? We all ended up picking 3 options initially, as we knew they're always out of stock and we all ended up with our third options. You're ok if you only order their standard stuff like waffles, cookie dough or crepes but always an issue with other stuff. One of the people on our table ordered a tea and the waiter brought over the tea and some milk but no sugar or spoon, so we asked for that then got a pot with a wooden spoon, looked inside and there was 1 sugar and one used empty sugar packet 🤦🏽‍♀️. We managed to find one new item that was in stock and that was the cinnamon monkey bread, when it came we were all super shocked to find that they had just cut up some puff pastry cinnamon swirls into quarters and tried to pass that off as monkey bread. It should've been bread (clue is in the name) 🤷🏽‍♀️ especially since monkey bread recipes are all over social media so if it's not monkey bread then why try to fake it?

I know it's a franchise but it's like the owner just doesn't care and has given up. Not sure if they're just putting more effort into their online orders instead of the instore ones but it's really sad to see the HD name not being given the effort it deserves. HD used to be a well known dessert place especially since the flagship store on Ladypool Rd (now Haute Dolci) but this one pales in comparison which is a shame as it was good when it first opened. I hope they can make it great again,...

I've visited here a lot over the last 6 months (a few times each month- I know, I know!) and EVERY SINGLE TIME has been brilliant! A friendly member of staff always greets you as you walk in and sit you down. It's a stylish set up with nice booths so you can have a party on one table and a quiet couple on another and everyone still can hold a conversation and have a great experience. The menu is mouth watering- almost too much to choose from and something for everyone's taste. I personally would recommend the American waffles with their decadent chocolate sauce and strawberries or the white chocolate chip cookie dough with tart raspberries on top-stunning. We often sit and choose a couple of desserts each and of everything I have tried, they are all delicious- nothing has been anything less than that. Their ingredients are good quality and it's real chocolate- not like the pretend overly sweet stuff I've had at other places in Walsall. I also take away for neighbours, family or even my colleagues for the next day as a treat. Warmed up in the microwave for half a minute and still yummy! I think the best thing about this place is... (very tempting to say their chocolate sauce)... the staff. They are smart and so polite and friendly. They are happy to explain the menu, give advice and really just can't do enough to make it a positive experience. If you might go here regularly, I recommend their app which you can earn points on and use to get extras or even save them up for a free dessert! I came here after a few months as I do usually come here and go to the one based in Birmingham im always happy with my order but unfortunately this time I was not satisfied at all. So, what I had ordered was called a "Grow Up" which resembled a plant pot with some mint on top as garnish instead I got a normal glass ramekin with nothing on top, I ordered a Saffron Spiced Spanish Latte and ended up with a hot drink which I most certainly did not want in this heat, the young lad was polite and apologised and went to make what I showed him from the picture in the menu, but unfortunately it looked nothing at all like what I wanted and I couldnt even finish it as it was too overpowering. I have had this latte before and it was made exactly like the picture but not on this occasion, all I could taste was a bitter strong coffee flavour and nothing else at all. When I placed my order in the very start I told the young lady that I wanted an item to take away once we were done so that she could have it ready by the time we ate but we had to remind them twice and wait for aaages before we got it. All in all I was not impressed with what I ordered here, why put pictures up of items that wont look anything like that when it comes to your table. The taste and the flavours in the desserts was fine although mine looked nothing like it should have but the drinks were not very nice at all it spoilt the taste of the desserts and we had to drink my daughters milkshake to take away the bitter flavour which was left in our mouths...
