We had been here before for a football match event on the big screen TV, but hadn't eaten. Have been told the food is really good. So I phoned at 16:45 to ask if we need to book a table for 5 o'clock or if we can just walk in. The girl took the booking anyway. Lovely atmosphere with the decor. There were plenty of staff on hand. A server came for a drinks order, which you have to pay separately from food. Then, when you are ready to place your food order, you go up to the bar area, where a designated till is on the left-hand side. We ordered Chicken Tikka Massala, Chicken Saag, Mushroom Pilau Rice, and a Keema Nan. I love the shape of the dinnerware! The food was delicious and tasty, just as we had been told. Staff did follow up with checking if everything is OK, so all in all, it was a great experience from start to finish. I did enquire about private function hire, as the restaurant is a function room, and was extremely saddened to hear, they no longer do room hire as it was perfect for what we wanted it for. My only constructive criticism, which truly isn't a negative, just a nice thoughtful touch, would be to serve the plates warmed to help keep your meal warmer for longer while eating. Then, like other restaurants, to provide a wet towelette to wipe your mouth and hands. But fantastic value, delicious food, lovely atmosphere, would highly recommend.

Highly recommended place for a mix grill and curries. We came for my nephews 18th birthday party. Tables booked for 14 people. Was moderately busy for a Saturday. Ample parking on site, but off site parking available. We ordered 4 large mix grills, 4 curries, 4 rice and 4 trays of pani puri. Was disappointed with the pani puri, could be more flavoursome and the pani shot could have bit of a kick to it. The main food, took a long time to come, despite the place not being that busy. But overall the food was very enjoyable, one downside is that staff didn’t take empty plates and glasses away, giving us small tables for 14 people was a bit of a inconvenience as there was limited space for plates, food and drinks. Food was cooked to high standard. Don’t know if they use two different kinds of fish for the fish pakora but one was quite fishy so not sure if it was on the turn or a smelly type of fish. Other than that, highly recommended, would be nice to see more selections of alcoholic drinks on tap.

Possibly the worst experience of my life here, would avoid at all costs and if I could give it 0 stars I would. On Sunday 10th September me and my partner went for a meal here, we decided to go after we heard great reviews about the place and decided to give it a try, we usually go to the Bradford Arms and if I am being honest I wish we had gone there that night to. The staff were friendly and polite and got us sat down with drinks in no time, ordered food no problem. I did not care for the decor if you like a massive cinema screen in the middle of where you are eating thats fine but for me I did not like it. Apart from the cinema screen everything was fine. Our food came and I was not keen I don't know why but there was just something off I ate a little while my partner said I was juts being picky, we shared a large mixed grill with chilli chips, I really liked the chili chips but was not a fan of the mixed grill. Anyway we left and about an hour later I was not feeling well at all, about 3 episodes of vomiting later I thought I just had a virus... until my partner also started to as well. We have never been so ill in all our lives and had to call in sick for work on the Monday, if it was just me that was sick I would have said it was a bug however my partner being sick to we definitely had food poisoning from this place, and were bed bound for the whole of Monday. It is now Tuesday night and I am starting to feel a little like myself again. This resturant has completely wrecked this type of food for us and we have been put off for life, would avoid...

First time visiting on a friend's recommendation. Ambience very welcoming. Nice and warm inside. We didn't have a booking but they were able to seat us straight away. I have a severe nut allergy and, upon asking the owner's daughter, she said they don't use nuts in their kitchen as she is also allergic. I was so excited that I could finally eat butter chicken, so we ordered two portions! It was scrumptious. Large mixed grill was more than enough for 4 of us - everything was cooked to perfection, really juicy chicken, lamb not too chewy, spices all perfectly balanced, mouth-watering fish...Lamb curry was absolutely delicious. Naan lovely and soft. Chutneys were superb and they provided lots of extra tubs upon request. Only small downside is you have to order at the bar (it's not table service) but, despite being a busy Saturday night, the food arrived in a timely manner. Another small downside was the waiter who took our drinks order couldn't understand what we wanted: tap water, coke, captain and diet coke, jameson and coke. Definitely visit this hidden gem if you haven't already. Never judge a book by its cover, as the exterior doesn't...
