Noahs Ark Inn — Restaurant in Walsall

Absolutely awful! Would not recommend or return. Turned up ordered drinks and found a table. The table was dirty and sticky. After looking at the menu which looked promising, we ordered food. At the time of ordering we were no made aware of any wait and didn’t expect it to be long as there was 3 other tables in the pub. ( a table of 9 a 4 and another table of 2 the table of 9 was already eating when we arrived). A young girl came over within 5 minutes of ordering and handed us cutlery and explained there may be a 10 minute wait for food. Obviously at the time we didn’t think it would take 10 minutes so took it with a pinch of salt however we did not expect to be waiting over an hour for two chicken burgers and a handful of fries. No explanation no sorry for your wait nothing after 45 minutes I went to the bar to ask about the food to be told sorry about your wait but there are tables that have been waiting longer they are cooking it now with out even checking with the kitchen. I asked the staff member to go a check, to be told upon their return yeah they are cooking it. I went and sat back down by this point we just wanted to leave. After just over an hour two burgers appeared they were dumped on the table and we were told sorry for your wait the fryer broke this morning so we are running on one. We started to eat, the food was awful dry the burgers were cold the only thing that was ok was the fires. My burger sauce pot which was less than a quarter full had a fly stuck to the side. No one came to check on our meals or even ask if we were ok, we ate what we could and with no one to be seen we left. On the way home we realised not only had the whole experience been a joke but we had also been over charged Tuesday deal is £9.95 (after checking online we had actually order what was Included in the deal) our total should of been £19.90 not the £22 something we were charged.

Abysmal service and food will not...

Me and my family had lunch at the Noah’s Ark in Willenhall. Me and my father had a roast dinner and everything seemed to be microwaved. My 6 year old had gammon, egg and chips, the egg had to be sent back four times due to it being uncooked. The egg initially came out and my 6 year old said to me that it was cold, it wasn’t cooked in the yolk. The egg they sent out for the second time was exactly the same. The third time it was sent out I was told the eggs really hot, I placed my finger on the yolk and yet again cold. The fourth time the egg came out it was cooked but by this time the meal had sat so long under the hot plate the broken egg yolk that was initially on the plate was encrusted on the plate along with any item of food that was touching this. There was a male staring at me and my family through the window from the kitchen door, I said it needs cooking on the other side an he said it was getting done, after the egg was sent back for the second time the staff and said person was giving my family dirty looks and you could clearly tell they were talking about us. At the end of the day if the food was checked and served correctly we wouldn’t have been in this situation.

We went for a meal here and we were really disappointed. It's not the first time. We ordered our meal, and not for the first time we had a long wait 30 minutes. I went and enquired where it was. They bought it out. I had a fish finger sandwich, which was spoiled by the amount of mayonnaise on the bread which had made it soggy. My mother-in-law had fish which looked as though it had been cooked and then warmed up the batter was really hard. It wasn't as if the place was packed out, there was only us and another man waiting. He was in before us. The only other couple in had already been served before we got there.

An update on this post. I had a phonecall from the Caroline the manageress, and she talked me through the issues These have all been rectified now and we are going back on Friday. Many thanks to Caroline for her prompt attention, and her concern for the customers.

The four of us went back today, and really enjoyed the meal. A great improvement on our last visit. Time wise and meal wise it was excellent. The staff were friendly, and Caroline came out herself to speak to us and make sure we were all ok. We shall certainly return in the future now. Thank...
