Mr Grill Pizza And Peri Peri — Restaurant in Walsall

It's a shame I'm writing this review as I quiet liked the food. A bit dearer than what we are used to in Walsall however, I don't mind paying for quality and flavour. I'm leaving a 1 star review due to the customer service and the condescending/ patronising manner I was spoken to and dealt with when I complained about their SMS marketing method. Without authority they added me to their annoying SMS system which almost daily spouts out an annoying message about offers i.e. 10% off online orders, Big Savers pizza offers, weekend madness etc.

I attempted to unsubscribe without success as the messages continued to come through. After several attempts I contacted the shop last week (Saturday 11/06/22) and spoke to two members of staff (apparently the owner was unavailable). The first person didn't know what marketing SMS messages were so he passed me onto another person who's mannerisms were condescending/ patronising to say the least. Given that they have a system which recognises your address that is linked to the phone number, the man said he did not have me on their system. When I asked to be removed from all marketing he questioned me saying things like..."Why do you wish to be removed"? and "We need the business" also "How will we survive". I informed him I did not ask to be added to the system he refuses to remove me from because he can't find me and if I receive any further messages I will block the number. His response to that was along the lines of "Why"?

Finally, he said he will have a word with the Boss man when he gets in as he does not have access to that system. When I asked for a name his response was "Why is that important"? When I explained, so that I know who I spoke to about the issue if I need to call back, he gave me a name which I doubt was true. Today I received a further SMS message about their BIG SAVERS pizza offer. Needless to say I have now blocked the number and me and my family will never be ordering from this place again. Like I said at the start...it's a shame because the food...

One of the nicest Kebabs I've had (if not the best). Forget your German folks these really do taste of something. I choose the Lamb on fresh Naan, and what made it more impressive was the service and attention to detail. Asked for Lemon and a splash of salt on the salad, no problems. The guy recommended a dash of sweet chilli, and that's what i got a dash. There was no need to swamp it in a gallon of sauce, the ingredients and flavours can speak for themselves perfectly well. Bread was light and had a chewy but moreish bite, meat was rich, packed with flavour, moist and slightly charred and the salad was clean and fresh together with a tangy pickle on the side. This seriously is the bench mark of Kebab's in Walsall and would be worth queuing up for on a wet and damp Thursday evening anytime.

Update: Went again last night and completely disappointed with customer service and bossy young shortish guy ordering the guy on the till about. Took forever to do my order of one lamb kebab ( standard) and to add insult to injury the key ingredient that makes a kebab a kebab the salad was completely omitted after specifically requesting it. Bread was great, but without salad this is not a kebab in my book. While i do understand they were busy it felt that quantity over quality was prominent and reminded me of my only singular experience of the Pool Street Chippy where the customer is a number and they should be grateful for whatever they get. Seriously guys reputations are built over time and not one...

I got it delivered We ordered it as it was cheap got a 12" pizza box with half a peri peri chicken and extras for 28 pound even including a bottle of pop. The food was delicious and we ended up getting it for 24 pounds. Not only that but we also got a pack of 4 free donuts which were sugared and coated perfectly with chocolate and the topping u wanted. We ordered the oreo donut, the aero donut ,the Ferrero rocher donut and the kinder Buenos donut.Not only the fact the donuts were free they were warm, had generous amounts of sugar on them and a lovely amount of toppings. Better then the donuts you get at the seaside. I definitely recommend this place it is cheap and worth the money.
