Golden Moments — Restaurant in Walsall

We’re from the Cannock area and usually to go out once a week with friends for a curry but as we have a huge choice of restaurants, we tend to stay local. However, we decided to use Golden Moments on Saturday as our friends highly recommended the food and restaurant as they have been before. The restaurant was nicely decorated, spacious and well lit. Several tables were round, which is brilliant for larger parties and the other tables fairly well spaced out. The staff couldn’t be more gracious and their uniforms made them look super smart. I’ve visited this place several times and for the most part it’s been a great all round experience however during my visit on 24th December 2022 it was far from this I opted for the all you can eat buffet and a pint of cobra beer the food wasn’t the standards im used to there and the service was shocking the waiter was nothing but rude and arrogant I got up to pay for my meal where he saw fit to escort me to the payment till at the bar at which point he threatened me with him losing his temper because I’d forgotten to take the bill to the counter however the Bar staff were fully aware of what I had had as I only ever have the same beer and I asked on entry about the buffet I paid the money I owed in cash and left letting the staff know I’d not be returning and I’d be...

Went to the restaurant on the 6/10/23 for our wedding anniversary meal. Waiter was rude and was trying to belittle my husband. We had popadom and he bought one. We were still eating and he came and took our plates away without asking us if we’d finished eating and abruptly bought out our starters. Starters were nice however the main was a major let down. We had panner and chicken biryani which I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. The naans were cold and the waiter was the worse we could have gotten. Will not be visiting again at all such a let down with the standards of the main and the food being cold.
