The Farmers Boy — Restaurant in Walsall

We rang up to enquire about ordering two breakfasts from the breakfast menu. Despite them only delivering on certain days and having no drivers working, the chap (presumably owner) asked where we lived and said he would deliver to us anyway.

We ordered two Mega Breakfasts and just over 20 minutes later, the gentleman was on our doorstep with our order. We were fully prepared to pay for the £2 delivery as stated on the flyer however they didn’t want it, insisting that because it wasn’t a proper delivery, they weren’t going to charge us the £2 fee.

The breakfast itself was restaurant quality and as good as anything you would get at a certain pub chain nearby. Sausages, crispy bacon, hash browns, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, two eggs — all cooked to perfection. Couldn’t fault it and plenty of toast, too. Photo hopefully does it justice.

Me and my colleague took our 2 service users for their tea last Thursday and we were greeted by the most rude person there .. straight away she told us if we hadn't pre-booked the table we couldn't sit in the restaurant area as it was supposedly fully booked so we sat in the bar area . Ordered our food and again as she's taking my order she keeps saying that next time I should booked . One of our service user was unsettled so my colleague took her home and I stayed to have our food . She wanted a cup of tea , ordered it , took few minutes to come and to top it off when I poured the milk in it , milk had gone off ..told the young waitress , she brought another one finally ..put it this way , would not step inside again if you paid me .. horrendous ..don't know where that person learnt about customer service but considering pub trade has suffered during covid you would think they would happy to get customers not...

The manager is horrible I ordered some drinks and felt like I was being targeted my big brother went in gave provisional license as ID and she looked at it and let him straight through half hour later I turn up to meet them she looks at my ID and says "we don't usually accept this form of ID which she legally has to as there is no other possible ID people use for this type of thing and she was horrible service absolutely disgraceful place the second I walked in she tilted her head giving me dirty look assuming cause I'm small as brother got in and I nearly did not. Definitely strongly...
