Gardener's Retreat — Restaurant in Warwick

Overall very disappointed, ordered food told it would be 20 minutes the restaurant was quiet at this told we waited 35-40 minutes and still no food my partner went up to the till to check what was going on and was stood there for ages with the staff ignoring her two members of staff seems more bothered about putting plant pots and stapling wallpaper to a wall then serving my partner and the others just weren’t to be seen , eventually some came and spoke to her for them to say oh yeah we forgot about you food it be another 15 minutes. In fairness the gave us a free drink each as a sorry , this had also happen to another table as well which they forgot, we eventually got our food an hour after originally ordering partner had asked for the chunky to be removed which they also forgot to do. This all happen in a restaurant that had maybe 3-4 tables full so really not busy poor customer service really...

Worst dining experience of my life! Burgers were served rock hard, tasted like plastic? Literally inedible. I didn’t expect Michelin star but it was truly horrific. When I went to complain about the quality of the food (it had literally been taken out of a freezer and microwaved) I was met with passive aggression from a female chef with brown hair. I told her it was inedible and insisted that it was 100pc grass fed premium beef. She behaved as though she raised and reared the poor cow herself? All very bizzare. She seemed to take serious offence to both me and my partner not wanting to eat the burger and made a huge scene. Utterly shocking. Wouldn’t have minded if it was from a kebab shop but the cheek of charging what they for freezer food...
