Really bad service and no apology. The problem is that people do not listen, and they do not apologise. I went with my young daughter to treat her to a nice afternoon and quite clearly ordered an ice cream cone with two scoops - one vanilla, one strawberry. Why would I order any more than this for a 3 year old? After taking an inordinately long time, they bring over a cone with two scoops of one flavour, saying "the other one is coming." Bearing in mind I'd ordered something else for myself, that was quite clearly for an adult. I told the guy how he had it wrong and told him to go fix it, after which he then returned with FOUR scoops in a cone. At this point I realise he is not only not listening to me, but has also charged me nearly ÂŁ3 more than necessary for a simple ice cream cone. A simple order he's managed to screw up twice. My order still hasn't emerged and we've been in the restaurant nearly 30 minutes by now. My daughter is now innocently asking "where's the man daddy?" and she's usually very good. "The man" hasn't returned after I told him off the second time, so now I realise the staff attitude is simply bad and that people can't take criticism or deliver service properly anymore. At no point was an explanation or apology offered. So I got up, asked for a refund and left. He didn't even clearly instruct me that I had to insert my card to process the refund. he manager stood there with some weird smug smile on her face while I complained. Honestly I do no understand people and especially people in the service industry so opposed to just delivering, er, service. Staff just ignored customers, others had waited over 20 minutes for their order and were then spoken to VERY abruptly when enquiring what was happening to their order, not one member of staff spoke to myself and my friend, they didn't even look at us, we had given up waiting to be given a table when we arrived (stood waiting for over 5 mins in searing heat), so just sat ourselves down, and then when I went up to the counter was forced to ask if I could give my order (as all staff were ignoring all customers who were waiting for anything), I was abruptly told "yes, yes, give me a minute, I'm very busy". Absolutely no staff structure, nobody seemed to know what they were doing. When we gave up and left, so did at least 3 other customers. We went to a nearby local competitor where we were immediately greeted at the door, shown to our table and had the ordering system explained to us. When we went up to make our order we were served straight away, and within less than 5 minutes we had the order on our table. This place was FAR busier than Kaspas and had about the same number of staff on duty, yet they were able to be polite, attentive and prompt in giving their customers attention and delivering orders. There is NO excuse whatsoever for the rudeness and ignorance of the staff at Kaspas. We will NOT be returning EVER!! I'd give it MINUS 10 stars if I could, but that option...
