McDonald's — Restaurant in Watford

Unfortunately yet again, we have had a very unpleasant experience in the same McDonald's. I am not a fan of negative reviews as I understand that things happen sometimes. But this is not the first time, we ( me my husband and two of our kids) have experienced poor service and a massive lack of organisation and time keeping. We have given this place the benefit of a doubt, but sadly nothing has changed. At the start of the drive through, a girl speaks to you like not only that she doesn't want to be there, but she also doesn't want YOU to be there. When we paid, we were yet again asked to park and wait. After a very long wait, we had to ask where is our order ! Can you actually believe it?! They would have never approached us , because we were told that they don't have that order , that they can't find the receipt. The manager wouldn't even care to sort it. I could see that this youth working there, gave our order to someone else. Because we ended up getting someone's order, we had to point out that it's not hours, and again wait for ages. We finally got the order, and when we got home we realised that they did give us our drinks. Kids were really upset.

We paid for it! Card was charged, and we were spoken to like were asking for free food. It was really bad 😭 I didn't even want to go back to ask for my drinks. Just left it, and will never go back...

This place must be the worst McDonald’s in the UK. They consistently get orders wrong, whether that be via delivery or when you order at the restaurant in person. Even worse is when you go into the restaurant in person, you are a poor third place after the drive through and the delivery guys. Tonight we went in and even though the restaurant was empty, it still took 35 minutes to get the food. Again, we were sidelined for the Uber guys. Another issue with McDonalds, more in general, is when you order food for delivery. There is absolutely no simple or quick way to resolve items which are missing. You have to get in the car and sort it out, which defeats the whole purpose of having food delivered, plus you pay a large uplift on food, and also pay the delivery charge and fee. Last week a whole meal was missing and when I asked for some kind of discount or freebie for my trouble, they were stunned at why I was asking. Our visits to McDonald’s are becoming less and less frequent now, and the way things are going, plus it’s no longer fast food and cheap, we are likely to...

I am not the slimest people in the world and spend a lot of time traveling and therefore am no stranger to the Big Mac and it's brother's or Sister's. I am however amazed at just how truly awful the service is in this establishment is. I have used this "restaurant" on multiple occasions as it is in a location between two points I need to spend a large amount of time in and this is one of those places that after a solid 12 hour day without lunch you can ingest high calory food in preparation for the 3 hour drive home. This place has had a refurb, part of which is hiding the sleeping policemen so you hit them faster than normal as you cannot see them and the staff are quite frankly rude and inept. Ten minutes for a cheeseburger really. I have started carrying emergency food in the car so I do not have to stop and started using the garage instead and this will become my new Ethos as I stop using MacDonalds. I understand that working here may not be the pinnacle of someones life but making it this obvious makes me think why do you bother...
