Rio's — Restaurant in Watford

I like Rio's Peri peri peri's everything . Their box with chicken and rice is awesome with the sauces they provide with it . They provide garlic sauce and tamarind sauce which is just great in taste and makes the chicken and rice more tastefull and yummy . I love earing their box and going when ever i cam get it as they don't have any branch in bolton itself which is the biggest bummer .☹ It's in birgmingham, london , Watford but not in manchester that i know . It's not in bolton yet which is very sad ...they should think of giving away a franchise here in bolton as well. This is way more awesome than Pepe's as i had tried pepe's and don't know what they put in the sauce or chicken marination but it got my throat badly irritated and i had a sore throat with cough for two weeks which was horrible . The sauces were a bit sour and harsh i believe . I never went their again till now . So i would definetly and happily prefer rio's piri piri 😄❤❤❤ I just love the sauces and box they have . Shambolic that’s one word to sum up this place. First time I’ve been here and was gonna be my last time. The chips were decent but as soon as I had the wings the spice levels were quite high, but the batter was falling off so quick where you’d taste the refried chicken. The burger itself was very bland and sickening, not sure what it was but the taste was more and more off-putting with each bite. The quality of the food was old and poor, a one to forget but had the same prices as the better option - @pepespiripiri. Next time I know I’ll make the safe and right choice.

Finally the service was poor, I asked for a Halal certificate and they weren’t able to provide one I took a leap of faith based on their word but found even online there is no evidence of the branches being Halal. I've ordered chicken and rice ( extra hot flavor) but instead they gave me a different flavor which is too tangy it tasted like I'm having concentrated lemon juice . I've asked one of the staff if they've mistakenly prepared a different flavor which is not extra hot I'm sure. The person at the till haven't told me if it was wrong flavor he just took the box and went into the kitchen and told he will add more sauce so that the lemon flavor will not be so strong . I asked him to prepare a fresh one ( extra hot ) . The other person from the kitchen offered me to prepare a fresh one (extra hot) . Even the 2nd box was filled with too much sauce which was tasing like a strong lemon flavor. The staff were very busy to close , as we came after 10 . I heard about this place through my friend he told me it tastes good but I'm not at all satisfied, might be due to closing time. Even the customers who were on the other table were complaining the same thing about the sauce that it's tasting tangy. Something is wrong with the quality of the sauces. So...
