One of the worst places I have ever eaten from in a very long time. The online description is totally misleading and inaccurate. We ordered the £12.99 Ramadan Platter and it did not live up to the description. It had one piece of chicken tikka, one piece of lamb tikka, one piece of lamb and chicken seekh kebabs which looked and tasted like they are made by someone who cooks at home for hobby rather than a proper chef. The chips were cold, soggy and undercooked. And the biryani rice looked like days old pilau rice. Who calls this BIRYANI? The maash daal was drenched in oil and again it tasted like cooked by a someone who cooks at home occasionally rather than a proper chef. The naan bread was thinner than the roti that some of the other restaurants do in Watford. This was an absolute disaster and honestly I cannot justify spending anything on this place to myself or anyone else. To all the food lovers out there, do yourself a favour and stay away from this place.

The food was really tasty and freshly cooked. The place has a very friendly atmosphere, and you can tell it’s family-run because they make you feel so welcome. They also mentioned that all the food is halal, which is great. Overall, a lovely spot to eat and relax!

Overpriced, overhyped, overrated. I ordered a Ramadan Box £12 for such a tiny box it had 1 Samosa, 2 onion bajis 1 piece of overcooked lamb tikka, 2 small kebabs with some brown rice n fries. The food was totally tasteless!

The Chicken Karahi - was nice, the masala tasted nice but there were too many bones and the curry needed slightly more masala as was a little bit dry. Also, The quality of some of the chicken looked questionable. Also, I found a hair in the curry! Plz See attached photo.. The Kheer was below standard, quite tasteless in fact. Taste of Lahore’s is much better, being much creamier and having crushed pistachios to give it that lovely crunchy texture. The quality of ingredients with Taste of Lahore’s kheer is far superior and one of the best kheer I have ever tasted. I suggest Tawa do research to get this right by checking out Taste Of Lahores version of kheer, which is totally on point. Gujrela was nice, a very subtle carrot taste but my ice cream was missing .. a nice malai kulfi would compliment this desert nicely. Sweet rice was nice, not too sugary but there were no skinned almonds in it ? The coconut slices did not taste nice with it so I would replace this will boiled, skinned almonds. The rotis were too thick and doughy. Not good for digestion, we prefer our rotis with butter. Naan was poor, we prefer proper light and less doughy, more healthy naan with lots of healthy seeds. When I placed my order the guy that took my order over the phone didn’t seem to have much of a clue wen asked questions and what’s recommended.. a lot of the time he asked some faint lady in the background exactly what what I asked him and things began sounding like a broken record. I recommend he gets training in diplomacy skills and information on Tawa’s products. We are a group of footballers who play every Friday evening at Powerleague, Watford and we always like to eat out afterwards. Our local is Taste Of Lahore, however Tawa’s curries seem slightly better and if they listen to feedback and make adjustments I am sure they will do well. Me and the footballers will give Tawa a try this Friday and let’s see what they think. Not a bad start for Tawa but plz consider acting on our feedback and you will do very well. Wishing you all the best for the future. Thanks for taking the time to read my...

I'm sorry to say... but this place was atrocious! Me and my family ordered the tawa for 4 people with 4 drinks and salad (over £60) and it was poor. Poor quality, poor quantity, poor taste. We waited over 40 minutes for food to arrive. Drinks and salad arrived after our food and only came after we asked again for them. The mango lassi didn't taste at all like mango lassi, the £5 mint mojito was just 7up with a few leaves in it. The rice tasted out of date, the chips tasted of cardboard, soggy and cold like they'd just been re-heated in a microwave, currys had absoloutley no raas/sauce to them, chicken used was questionable and not of good quality, the lamb was overcooked, hard to chew and inedible and my daughter found a hair in her maash daal... Plates and cutlery were not clean, table was not clean - when asked if they could wipe the table it still was not cleaned properly. The place is also much smaller than pictured online, few customers inside but still took forever to recieve food & drinks. The man who took our order was very nice but the staff definatley need training aswell. Please save yourself time, money and energy and go LITERALLY anywhere else! Very...

Tawa in Watford is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. From the moment you step inside, the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere sets the tone for a great dining experience. The menu offers a fantastic range of dishes, from rich, flavorful curries to sizzling tandoori specials. The highlight of the meal was the Tawa (griddle) dishes, where the spices and ingredients are perfectly balanced, resulting in mouthwatering, fresh, and tender meats and vegetables.

The service is attentive without being intrusive, and the staff are more than happy to offer recommendations based on your spice preferences. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients shines through in every bite. Whether you’re a fan of classic chicken tikka masala or looking to try something more adventurous, Tawa delivers every time.

Overall, Tawa Watford offers a delicious and satisfying Indian dining experience that combines excellent food, great service, and a lively atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone...
