Zoya Sushi — Restaurant in Watford

Very expensive and very small portions. All dishes were just supermarket ready made rice sushi . The Turkish restaurant it replaced was much better. Never again. Nothing to do with Japan but all to fool you to pay more for Tesco Express meal deal quality ready made sushi 🍣. Only grace was that we were the only customers so had all space to us . Save your money and buy directly from. Tesco express nearby if you fancy Sushi 🍣. Hope it closes down soon and be replaced by someone who really cooks food instead of making 5 -10 portions out of one supermarket sushi 🍣 packet. Even the Miso soup was only 2-3 tablespoons of salted water. We eat out every other day and this was the worst experience in terms of portion size and quality of food considering this is the most expensive restaurant in our area. Cannot believe other fake food blogger reviews as they may be making special meals for food bloggers and treating everyone else...

I thought the food was OK, I had beef red curry, which in my opinion could have been a bit more spicy & flavoursome, was also lacking on the amount of beef. Special fried rice was very tasty and the salt/pepper squid was soft but also missing something. I'll be back to try the sushi, the pics look very tempting. The staff were very friendly and welcoming but the restaurant was freezing cold, I was going to eat in but didn't fancy eating with a hat & coat on.

What an absolute gem! We booked to have lunch today, at our daughters request for sushi for her birthday, not knowing what to expect. The dining room is charming, our serve was lovely and offered recommendations. The menu was great with a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options and the food was SO good!!! We will absolutely be back again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for tasty, authentic Japanese food in a lovely atmosphere....
