Squires Cafe — Restaurant in Waverley

Really disappointing experience in the Squires restaurant today. Ordered a jacket potato with squash & chickpea curry and an avocado & red onion sandwich. There was literally 1 tablespoon of curry in the potato and a pathetic salad. Told by kitchen the curry comes from a sachet so that’s the portion you get for £10!! Had to wait over half an hour for just 2 large lattes and 2 tiffins. We saw other customers come and go with their orders, which is when I got up and asked where our order was. We had been given a buzzer with order number 10 on it, and the staff cross-referenced it with their outstanding orders, and our order had gone missing, apparently?!!! 2nd visit and service is SLOW! Waited 10 minutes to be seated, there wasn't a queue, then took 15 minutes to order coffee. This then proceeded to take half an hour to arrive, just one tea and one coffee. Plenty of staff around but always seem to be either tidying or looking at their screens to get attention.
