The service was very good and it is obviously a very popular Indian restaurant. This may be partly because there's not many others to choose from. The staff and the service was very good, but the food was 'nice' but pretty standard to others. The Fish Delight was quite expensive at £18.50, but came with rice. The fish itself was a bit overcooked and dry. The Lamb Dhansak was the same as I've had anywhere else. The Nan Bread was good. We tried a new vegetable dish "Mishti Kodu Aloo" which was pumpkins and potatoes. I expect to pay a premium for beer so don't mind paying £5.75 for a bottle of Cobra in a restaurant, but I do begrudge paying £4.50 for a pint of Soda Water which costs them less than 5 pence. So overcooked fish and extortionately priced fizzy water knocks a 5 rating to a 3.

Pleasantly surprised by Darjeeling in Farnham. 20 of us visited for a college’s leaving bash and the he service was spot on considering we were a large crowd. Drinks and food orders were accurate and served promptly. The only slight criticism was that I thought the portion sizes were a little small compared to other Indian restaurants I’ve been to, and I’ve been to a lot. Would recommend this restaurant in Farnham.

THE best Indian meal we’ve had in a long time, great flavours, and no excessive ghee. The house red wine was a Cote de Rhone and at perfect temperature. All reasonably priced. The service was friendly professional and slick.

Old fashioned, poor service, atrocious portions! Where do I start! Lets go with the negatives first. Well the starters were basic and tasteless...straight from the 80's and trust me I know....I'm a veteran of the curry game. Main course, I ordered a Chicken Dansak and it had 3 pieces of chicken in it. There is no way that would pass for a main course! I came to eat not be on the diet... One of the naan breads ordered was burnt and yes straight up burnt! So sent it back for a new one and that was under cooked! 😂 Seriously and this is suppose to be a quality restaurant. Did you not think I would say anything perhaps that is the problem people are too polite....we are the ones paying. I have had much much better meals and service in a street food place nothing fancy just simple and good. The waiter was atrocious did not pay any attention to us or the large table next to us and I'm sure they will agree with me. This was truly the biggest waste or money I have experience for a long time. Should have stuck with Pizza takeout. If you guys simply put in a bit of effort into looking after your customers and offering quality service, you would have an amazing restaurant. A word of advice from someone that knows do not try and cut corners by trying to trick customers and selling them tiny portions and burnt food. On the plus side the good quality is good....shame about the rest of it. Overall poor not very impressed at all I have tried much better places than this will not be...

The food was fine and two of the three waiters that served us were also fine. But the other waiter all but spoiled our evening by a concerted bit of thoughtlessness. He refused to top up a pot of green tea with some hot water, insisting even against the objections of several of our group. Eventually, he agreed to bring a pot of hot water, which seemed fine, but he whipped away the empty pot with the tea bag at the last second so that we could not use it with the hot water. Amazing! He even insisted that "we didn't understand". Well, we understood all right: in saving 5p for the restaurant out of an £80 bill, he missed out on a generous tip, and lost 5 future return customers. It may have been a one-off occurrence, I don't know - maybe he was having a bad day - but the restaurant needs to know what bad public relations he was...

First time of going here. I wasn't impressed with the speed of how they served you. I hadn't even sat down and they asked me if I wanted a drink.. I said could you please give me 5 mins. When they came back my partner asked for a gin & tonic the waiter didn't have a knowledge of the gins available. Got there eventually but also asked for a slice of lemon 🍋 but it came with a slice of lime so we asked again for a slice of lemon the waiter didn't have a clue what we was asking for so he asked the other waiter he then bought it to the table. Starters was ok. We just finished them and they came and said your main is ready we said could we please wait for about 5 mins.. So rushed not good at all the restaurant wasn't full so no idea why they was trying to rush us at all.. The main came which was better. I don't think I would ever go...
