La Petite France — Restaurant in Wealden

The second time we've had coffee to sit in at their new cafe site (the old Crittles greengrocer shop) and the second time we had to wait for more than 30 minutes despite not it not being that busy when we arrived. This time we were first in the queue, but they served about a dozen takeaway coffees to customers who came in after us and also sold the pastries we had ordered and paid for. When we asked about our order they looked panicked and told us it was the next one. Another five minutes went by before they came to ask us what our order was. They did at least refund our money and gave us some substitute pastries. I really want them to be good, especially as they are the only cafe in the village that opens before 9am. But I don't think I'd ever risk buying a coffee on my way to catch the train - I'd never make it! Maybe we've just been totally unlucky. There didn't seem to be an on-site manager at this branch, unlike when the cafe was in the old NatWest building - maybe that's part of the problem? We'll give them one more chance, but...

Visited for the first time and only a couple of things I felt I wanted to say. I love dogs but in small areas it’s sometimes not ideal when eating. A lady sat next to us with her beautiful weimerana but when it shook itself you could see all the small hairs flying everywhere! Thankfully they left before our food came. The other thing were the very nice and friendly (female) staff. I know health hygiene can go over the top but preparing and handling food without hygiene gloves, especially when having nail extensions has got to be a no no and hair tied back properly to avoid the dreaded hair in your food scenario (which didn’t happen) but could. Small things but necessary, especially as not everyone will appreciate a dog sniffing...

I went to la petite cafe wadhurst today with my mum and dad and my sister mollie There today I had a lovely cup of tea which I really enjoyed It was one of the best cups of teas I have ever had in whole wide world It was lovely trying out this cafe for the very first time and trying out their cups of tea I really liked trying out your cups of teas It was just the way I like to have my cups of tes The staff that work there are very kind lovely polite The service there is very good amazing wonderful I had a very lovely experience there today at la petie cafe wadhurst This place gets it's very first 5 out of 5 star rating by me Enjoy reading your google review by me Have a lovely rest of your day 5...
