My wife and I stayed at the cottage for 10 days when we got married at Wadhurst Castle in April and we had a fantastic time. Fiona was so friendly and helpful during our stay and the cottage itself felt like it became our second home. There are wonderful views across the beautiful castle walled garden extending beyond to the Sussex countryside and the cottage garden out the front is very pretty and well kept. The cottage itself is very well equipped and we loved having different sets of friends over during our stay for country walks and socialising in the large living space the cottage offers. The log fire was a nice bonus as well and there were so many ideas of things to do/walks to go on in the multitude of leaflets and brochures provided. Read moreThis is a 3 star cottage that needs investment, particularly in the bathroom and downstairs toilet. They advertise as a dog friendly cottage but the rules on having them there are extensive and the tiny courtyard inadequately secured with five bar gates. Very easy for dogs to get through. Don't be fooled into thinking you will have access to nice large courtyard garden. We were lectured upon arrival and felt uncomfortable during our stay.
