Terranova Restaurant — Restaurant in Welwyn Hatfield

Took my other half to this place, just wanted to have a range of starters, was told by the waiter "I won't do that, you have to have mains as well". Never ever been told at any restaurant what I can or cannot order. As the customers we decide what we want to eat from the menu not the waiter! Also we are British born Indians and sensed a bit of attitude towards us. Got up and left straightway.

UPDATE 7/09/17 to your response: What we said was that we wanted is a few starters from the menu to see if we like the taste of your food, we never said we won't have mains. Besides we have never been declined to have a bunch of different starters, your staff member walked away from us arrogantly, with his hands behind his back. Had we wanted snacks you foolish idiots, we would have gone next door. We had to walk away due to your arrogance. Unfortunately for you, I am a marketing specialist and will leave further bad feedback for you on various other sites, until you apologise for your bad service, I will keep this marketing campaign going. For goodness sake, why can't businesses such as yours take examples from other outstanding restaurants, that apologises for their mistakes and say they will do everything to...

Can’t comment on the food as we didn’t make it that far, but I went in with my friend for lunch today and the staff were awful and so rude. We had two babies and as we walked in we were made to feel uncomfortable and like they didn’t want us there from the start. We were told that there was a cafe out the other side and they pointed to it. I asked if there was a table available and after some huffing and puffing the man reluctantly started preparing a table for us. I asked for a high chair we were told there was only one which is reasonable but once again this was delivered in a rude tone by the lady working there. We decided to go to the cafe they told us to go to instead and noticed there was a sign for take away pizza from this restaurant. So when my friend went back in to try and order some pizza, the lady working there was again really rude to her. After she asked where she could order from, the lady started waving her arms around and showing her outside point to the sign saying “this is the menu I’ve already told you”. The whole experience was deeply unpleasant and so we left feeling very upset at how we had been treated (and very hungry!!). Overall would not recommend...

I do not usually write reviews but this has left me irritated all day. I came to this restaurant today with my cousin and our 4 chidlren, upon arrival a woman greeted us and said they were fully booked. There was about 12 empty tables and one other table sitting down, I said it doesn't look fully booked, she insisted they was and offered me a takeaway, 2 lovely male staff then approached us and asked if we were okay and I explained we wanted a table but the woman was claiming you are fully booked, they were shocked and didn't understand why she said that to which she replied well we will be, how rude, I imagine it's because we had children with us , who by the way were extremely well behaved. One other table turned up during the 40 mins we were there , literally tried to turn us away for no reason , I would have given the restaurant a 5 star due to the lovely gentleman behind the bar and the food but unfortunately this weird woman ruined the experience and I felt the male staff were embarrassed by her shifty behaviour...
