I have been a regular of this chinese buffet since it opened roughly 20 years ago. I am not sure if it's always been owned by the same people but I can honestly say I've eaten there well over 50 times and never had a bad experience.

I wanted to write this review to give a different perspective on Mr Clayton's review as we to were also there that night and saw the whole thing unfold.

Firstly, this was near opening time, none of food was cold, in fact me and my partner both commented that everything tasted really fresh. Off the top of my head there are at least 5 chicken dishes. I had 4 and none were cold. Every dish is kept warm in an individual food heater so I could understand if Mr Clayton had found that one was faulty but his claim that everything was "Stone cold" is simply not true. Okay sure, nothing is "piping hot", but it's a buffet, what do you expect? It's not kitchen to plate. You're walking around choosing food as it slowly cools down on your plate.

Mr Clayton got his refund and then proceeded to stand up and throw an absolute tantrum in front of the whole restaurant, embarrassing himself and turning others in the queue away.

The main cause of his upset appeared to be that after having been offered a refund and finishing their plates, they then wasn't allowed to stay and continue eating at the buffet and get further plates of food. If you're not happy with the food, why would you want to stay? Just take your refund and leave peacefully. This man's goal was to get a free meal.

The waitress he spoke to was not rude, in fact it was quite the opposite. After Mr Clayton had left, she personally went around each table and apologized for the comotion and many other customers went to check on her to see if she was okay.

This is a fantastic buffet, great service, friendly staff, really tasty food. I can...

We have been to 513 on numerous occasions as a family ... but our visit on Thursday during half term was very very disappointing... we travel to Bury as family live in the area and meet here for a meal but on this occasion the food was luke warm, hardly ever replenished, I had to move used plates myself onto the next table as staff were non-existent & worse I felt constantly I was eating yesterdays left overs ... some of the chicken was rubbery like it gets when its been reheated the noodles were soggy etc, but the main problem was a lack of variety our daughter is autistic and we pay a lot for her to basically have crispy chicken balls & chips which she likes and will not eat anything else due to her condition (& may i add we do not ask for a discount etc we treat her the same as our other children as far as we can) but we do this to meet family but no chicken balls were available & I think this is because the batter would go soggy on reheating... overall tho the display was very limited and this included the desserts which unbelievably were Eaton mess or ice cream that was all no large selection of cheesecakes, sweets, cakes, ... we know it was a weekday and the service is limited but we have been before on a weekday and it's been ok ... we understand its quieter than the weekend, less staff etc but we felt the midweek cuts to the choice of food were so aggressive and we were very very disappointed and after years of going will not waste our money and go again .... such a shame a quick lunchtime meal which cost us £80 was to us...

We went out as a family of five . Paid £120 for an all you can eat buffet . The several chicken dishes we chose were stone cold. When mentioning the temperature was cold on the chicken I was abruptly met with "well what can I do about it , I'll give you your money back and you just go". Just for mentioning that our £120 food was cold to eat . The food came off a keep warm plate and the restaurant hadn't long opened so I could not understand the confrontation the so called manager was giving me . Had we gone there and it was almost closing you could understand , but it wasn't. She was extremely rude and even told me I'd never eaten there before. For the record, I hope you read this , I have eaten in there many many times . I even have proof from my bank statements and my Google timeline. I shall never recommend this place and will always advise people to avoid this place like the plague . And I'm happy other people walked out of your restaurant when you kicked us out because you was in bad mood and couldn't take that I simply said the food is cold off the hot plate. I wasn't rude and didn't approach the "manager" in a disrespectful way . If you're paying that kind of money and selling food as hot then it should come at least warm...

Visited numerous times over the years. Food is always lovely, as you'd expect from a buffet, some does go cold the longer it's sat out but it's not long before fresh is displayed. Main issue with the food is the options being more limited now at lunch. No more omelette, seafood is rare unless its mussels. Desserts are dried out where they're pre sliced and left in boxes too long. Over all though, the food is still enjoyable, it's more about the lacking options. Most feels very samey. However very tasty and regulary changed over so I never have cold food. Staff very friendly and never personally had any issues or seen any. The whole place is very clean and it's always busy enough to keep a friendly atmosphere, even on a quieter day. Would always recommend for anyone looking for a decent meal that's well priced. Plenty of variety for those fussy eaters who probably have no business walking into a Chinese buffet! Such as chips, onion rings, nuggets, rice and vegetables etc.

Overall its 5* from us. Its clean. The staff have always been nice. The food is hot and tasty. I'm not actually a massive Chinese food fan as I find it can all taste the same, be too salty or very MSG laden. But the dishes here do taste unique so we do keep finding ourselves returning. We've been about 6 times now in the last couple of years. Our children really enjoy it. The fizzy drinks are really nice! Which seems a weird comment but often some buffet type places/fast food serve flat fizzy drinks don't they. I can't find a fault. I would only wish for a few more vegetable type sides. Like green beans with chilli or just beansprouts in general as I can never find them here. They do nice garlic broccoli though and some really nice sweet and sour pork and chicken dishes. We recommend :)

We were really pleased to find this buffet. On entry you pay and order your drinks, then choose a table. Then it's a really nice buffet very good flavours and I was pleasantly surprised with the rice.. often it is a bit dry or stodgy however this was cooked to perfection. We came on a lunchtime and it didn't take long to start getting more people in, however I wouldn't say it was too busy at all. The cost is very reasonable and the staff were pleasant. Would definitely recommend this place to others and when we're back in the area we will definitely attend again.
