The worst Christmas Day lunch I have ever experienced in my 57 year life.
Place is very run down and needs refurbishing.
Described as ‘gourmet’ in advertisement but 0/10.
Untrained staff who can’t speak English well, tell you that they don’t work there and have been brought in for the day - and smile and just say ‘yes’ when you complain.
Bread loaves were put on plates using waiter’s bare hands,
Plates were scraped clean at the tables,
Glasses were dirty and cheap unclean cutlery not fit to be used in any pub dining
no welcome, coat’s not taken, food inedible and old worn out seat broken
salmon still stuck to the skin, artichoke salad had no artichoke, brown/black sprouts and bowl of soggy over cooked vegetables. Turkey 2/10.
NOTHING GOURMET about this experience at Ravenwood Hall - no atmosphere and no joy from any of the large tables of guests who clearly were less than impressed
Steer clear of this crooked management exploiting basic English politeness when they try and complain. Our bill was corrected three times as owner?/ manager appeared to try and overcharge or simply he was totally incompetent!
