doffys vintage tea room — Restaurant in West Suffolk

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Went for a late lunch with a couple of friends on Saturday and I honestly cannot recommend Doffy's enough! The atmosphere is amazing, comfortable, warm and welcoming with pieces of decor that'll catch your eye during your visit. The staff were so welcoming and lovely and treated myself and my friends as if we were regulars all the while making sure we had everything we needed. The food was to die for, so hard to find quality egg and soldiers, but can confidently say Doffy's has it down to an art. The cream tea was delightful and the scones were huge! Tea comes by the pot and there's a whole selection of different teas, don't panic though, the staff are happy to help you pick the perfect one. Can't wait...

It my first experience at Doffy's tea room and sadly not the best... arrived at 13:00 to meet a friend for afternoon tea we ordered food waited and waited and waited ...1.5hr passed and then a gent approached us asking us if we could move as they were setting up for a kids birthday... I said no, as we have been waiting for 1.5 hrs and we still don't have our food...the Gent proceeded to finding out where our food was but we still had to wait a further 15 for the food so I won't be returning there sadly. 1.45hr for a sandwich is ridiculous. Very disappointed it was just after 3pm...

What a fab little find. Lovely breakfast menu full of light tasty treats. Perfect, and I mean the most perfect, poached eggs ever served on the eggs benedict plate, with the lovely touch of the hollandaise sauce being presented in a small dish rather than slared all over the eggs, allowing me to have just enough to my taste. Good quality salmon too. Croissants to follow were perfectly baked and served with my favourite raspberry jam rather than the ubiquitous strawberry. All in all a perfect breakfast after a very early start on the road. I'd give it 10 stars...
