Cafe Elliott — Restaurant in Wigan

Placed an order on just eat, an hour and a half later the food still hadn't arrived and it said on the app the courier was waiting at the restaurant. My husband phoned to get an update as they shut at 2pm. They tried to say we had had the order, and then they said the food was still there. They said the food had been sat there for 1 hour and they didn't have a driver, so they asked my husband to go and collect the cold and soggy food. My husband couldn't collect as he couldn't leave me, as im disabled. So my husband said he would like a refund and the person point blank refused to give us our money back. They guy claimed he had no driver for deliveries, so my husband then asked "why are you taking orders for deliveries then?" And the guy wouldn't answer the question. My husband also asked "if there was an issue with the order or the delivery, then why didn't you contact us instead of just leaving it?" Again the guy would not answer his question. We have been loyal customers to this cafe and never had any issues or any reasons to complain, so for me to do this shows how horrible the service was. We will not be returning to the cafe and neither will some close family and friends, who also frequent the cafe, as they have also said it was...

I ordered two lucozade along with a sausage and egg vienna and bacon and cheese vienna. Now the lucozades were nice however the bacon and cheese was 50% fat to the extent that when i had peeled it off the medallions i had just enough bacon to fill one half of the vienna. So to my mind with a large bread roll like that two rashers of bacon is nowhere near enough to fill the bread. For £2.80 not good enough. Now for the sausage and egg well much the same really only two sausage and one small egg both sausages were cut in half to make it appear bigger but even in that instance it still looked like a pea in a drum. The egg was small to say the least as before when the sausage and egg were put in one half of the vienna it made and fair sandwich but over the full vienna it was nowhere near enough. Went in on a Saturday and it was fairly busy. Ordered 2 omelettes. After waiting over 20 minutes my husband asked the waitress politely if she knew how much longer they would be because we needed to let our kids know what time we would be picking them up. The waitress was very nice and she told us it would only be another 5 minutes. We said thank you. A few minutes later a man who I assume was the owner came over to us and was rather rude saying you have asked how long, it takes at least 15 minutes to make an omelette, it is very difficult and we are busy so it takes 25 minutes! There was no need for him to come and speak to us like that. The waitress was lovely and we were happy with her telling us another 5 minutes.
