My daughter and I visited Cafe Nero in Wigan today (3/12/2022). My drink, Vegan Cinnamon Swirl was lovely. My daughters drink, Luxury Chocolate, was just a hot chocolate with a swirl of cream on. Hardly luxury for £4. Very disappointing. My daughter said it tasted of coconut, so we are pretty sure it was made with coconut milk. However, what was disgusting was the way the only male Barista there, spoke to us. Very abrupt and rude, with a face that would sink a ship. Even worse was the way he and the dark-haired Barista were speaking, particularly in front of customers. Stating that they were sick of working fast because it just encouraged more customers to go in; they might as well for slow because they were sick of all the people that went in, then maybe some of them would get fed up of waiting and leave. I'm so glad that this isn't my business with staff like that. Clearly, they don't care as long as they get their wage at the end of the week/month. Cafe Nero has always been a cafe I have enjoyed going into, even the though the female manager is always miserable. But I certainly won't be going in again and I will make sure as many people as possible know about this. Hey Ho Baristas, if I pass this around maybe you will get rid of a lot of your customers. Read moreHi I have been going into Nero with my dog Dozer for over 6 years. For a while we were almost part of the furniture. Dozer was always made welcome by the staff...especially the manager and most customers couldnt resist petting him as they passed. Unfortunately today changed all that as I was quite rudely chastised by one of the staff because Dozer had been quite vocal a few times...which has happened many times before with no issues. He generally barks after people have petted him and as they move away its he's way of saying hey come back and carry on. Unfortunately today a young child had been teasing him with a biscuit or something and of course my dog barked asking for some. More to the point it was the way I was told...right in front of two customers who had just been stroking Dozer and I was still speaking to...it was very embarrasing. This incident has now spoiled my relationship with Nero which had been brilliant for all this time. It looks like Starbucks may have gained a new customer...allbeit...
