After a charity walk and six hour drive we ordered McDelivery. Red hot so fancied a milkshake, nope, apparently they can't run the machine when it's hot for safety reasons? Uber Eats delivered it in sealed bags - what could possibly go wrong? Ordered The Arch burger, receipt had it, opened the sealed bag - nope hadn't been packed, ordered dips, nope all missing. One set of nuggets, one Hallumi fries and a Quarterpounder had arrived. Fries and Burger cold. Tried to ring branch, no-one answered, tried the courier - not my problem ring the branch or theres a button online to report it, tried online nope no such button, tried Uber Eats - not our problem try the branch. Found another number and talked to the branch. Total chaos apparently. Girl that took the call gave us a reference number, refused to let us speak to the manager or give us the managers name, were told to go to the store for a replacement order with something extra for compensation. Went the following day. Oh that is just our branch code we don't give replacements, after some heated discussion we eventually got our order, just our order, we had to drive to get it despite paying for McDelivery and their sealed to protect your order guarantee that what is packed arrives - shame when they pick the most expensive thing to forget. Oh, and if it's hot remember that you can't have ice cream or milkshakes? They just expect you to give up and accept missing items, but we wouldn't. Read moreYet again I arrived to find the 'click and collect' parking bays full and were being used by the delivery drivers, after a 5 minute wait I parked in a bay, opened the App and proceeded to the payment screen, however an error message appeared stating the App was currently not working and displayed a 4 digit code. I went inside and asked for a manager to explain the situation. The manager stated that the App is currently not working and that I would need to place my order manually. I asked him why he had not put signage on the 'Click & Collect'' parking stating this, his answer was "he doesn't control the App", however I said to him "you control the parking bays and would it not be good customer service to inform the App users of this", his reply was "like I said, I don't control the App". I then asked the manager "If I placed my order manually would I get the 25% off discount coupon currently on the App, he said "unfortunately not, but you could use it another time" I said "The coupon expires today" he said "You could always try another McDonalds restaurant" I said "would the App suddenly start working if I went to another restaurant". He said "like I said I don't control the App". I then asked the manager about the issues with the delivery drivers parking in the 'Click & Collect' parking bays. Read moreWorst service I have ever had. Firstly, the screen on the drive-through was not working so I cou.d not see my order plus the girl said nothing. I swiped my card. I collect my order but no sauces were provided that I asked for. I was also given somebody else's meal too. I was not given a receipt either. I checked how much I was charged in my bank app. I was overcharged for 2 meals. I told the girl I had been overcharged AND had to ask for my refund. The refund was wrong- I was short changed!
Next, I realised their refund was completely wrong as I was still owed more than £5 back. It ruined my meal as I had to go back to the Mc Donald's and go in to ask for the rest of myy I was owed.
The girl at the desk was defensive - unprofessional. She got her manager. The manager told me the Happy Meal was £4.36!! I get them regularly -from other Mc Donald's and have NEVER been charged this but I did not want any more trouble so said nothing. In the end the manager actually does not give me all the rest of my refund owed! He apologised but the least he could have done was refunded my Happy Meal. One mistake is fine but I have never come cross mistake after mistake and still r not receive my full refund! Totally unprofessional at this particular Mc Donald's, clearly poor training given to staff and absolute lack of care for customer service. I will never go to this particular Mc Donald's again.
