Disgusting the so called chief wasn't in kitchen half the time he was either smoking at front of pub or playing with a dog in pub,sorry food hygiene come in to this I have certificates to qualify me to work in a kitchen an one his dress was wrong and two he had a bandage over two of his fingers so he couldn't put a glove on, sorry I have been here for 5yrs an never saw this is it bad very bad If I was a inspector the pub food kitchen would be closed till I knew it was operating properly ok it's a pub but sorry raven was the one an only for the chain of his pubs that no one could beat but if this is what it's going to be close the kitchen Wednesday is pensions day yet the two hours there no one have food so it's a bit bad,buck your staff up or shut kitchen down 👇 sorry cause I loved coming in to drink when Tina was boss an also loved food but sorry I had to ask for the table to be cleaned that was opening time, disgusting I have worked as a cleaner in pub and in the kitchen not good, sorry you would be shut if an inspector just came in without warning,also why are you not disabled friendly you need two handles at front of pub an rail at back,as really all pubs should be disabled friendly now not just to get in an out but toilets too, anyway thanks to girl behind bar today she was perlite and friendly so please sort your problems...

Inedible is the only description I could give. I ordered meat and potato pie. Pastry is hard as concrete on the sides but floury sludge on the base. I'm not a pastry guy anyway truth be told, I'm all about the filling, but that's where it gets worse. Chunks of meat an inch long, might as well be rubber for the flavour and how long it takes to chew. I would rate the potato on the third piece but unfortunately there were only two pieces inside. Update: popped in for a pint and a pie with friends on a hot sunny mid may afternoon. Sat out in the beer garden which is a bit of a sun trap. I had a SUPERB chicken ham and leek pie with chips, mushy peas and gravy, my friends had the Stilton and steak.
