The Bell Inn — Restaurant in Winchester

Having visited the bell inn today for lunch, I pleased with the food I had, although this was only a hot BLT, with a side of chips. The bacon was cooked well and the sandwich was enjoyable. The chips were homemade and freshly cooked, the only complaint was that there weren't many of them. The outdoor seating area was nice and there were plenty of tables to choose from and dogs are welcome. In my opinion, the main issue with the pub is the the lack of advertising, most people pass it regularly on their way into Winchester without even seeing it, which is a shame, as it has a nice atmosphere and a quiet place to enjoy...

A really lovely quaint little pub just on the boarder of the South Downs National Park. The scenery is beautiful and this is the perfect place to relax with a drink and delicious food. The menu doesn’t leave you spoilt for choice but has dishes to suit every bodies need. This pub also offers a good selection of draft beers and ales, and of course spirits and ciders. There’s also a car park just round the back of the pub next to the beer garden. And yes, there is a wheelchair accessible...

The Bell Inn is your typical English pub, which is great. In a sea of chain bars and gastropubs the tradition British pub is becoming a rarity and The Bell Inn has a consistent group of regulars with a nice family friendly vibe to the place.

There is a good range of tradition pub grub with a friendly and efficient bar team and a large beer garden to enjoy the weather. We often walk around the St Cross area and finish with a pint...
