I donât normally write reviews, however I feel the need to share this really shocking experience I had here today.
During the Watercress Festival on a particularly hot and crowded day. As someone in the third trimester of pregnancy, I was struggling with the heat and standing for long periods. I saw an available table outside the shop (with several others still free) and sat down for just a couple of minutes to catch my breath and recover.
A woman who appeared to be a staff member approached me and, rather abruptly, told me the seating was for paying customers only and that I needed to get up. I stood up straight away and politely explained that I was pregnant and just needed a brief rest, but her response was, âWe all have problems â these are my chairs for my customers.â Wow. Wow.
I completely understand that businesses have policies about seating, and I would never take a space from a paying customer! Especially since there was an available empty table next to me at the time. What upset me most wasnât being asked to move, but the lack of kindness and understanding in the way it was handled. Even bystanders looked shocked⌠letâs say the people I was with was not happy!
Sadly, I left feeling rather angry and upset. This experience will stuck with me, and I personally wouldnât feel comfortable supporting a business that treats people this way. Basic manners is all this situation needed. In the future, please treat people how you would like to...

In a world of processed food and posh coffee shops I found Sarahâs to be a breath of fresh air, where you can pop in for a sarnie and a chat and feel a part of the community.
Little places like this need to be kept alive so visit if you can. Be patient if you have to wait. Itâs...
