Rose’s Tea Room — Restaurant in Woking

Me and my son came across the garden centre and café by chance a couple of weeks ago. What a lovely place. Unfortunately the chap was closing up for the day when we arrived but everso kindly still made me a pot of tea and toasted a tea cake. How very lovely of him. Although we live no where near I am taking my daughter there tomorrow as I know she'll love it but I shall aim to get there a bit earlier in the day! Update: well I went again today with said daughter. She loved it. Place very quaint and attractively decorated. We had delicious toasties served with salad and crisps. Great. Could have done with the pot of tea giving me 2 cups rather than 1 and a drizzle but it hasn't put me off pencilling in another visit. Prices reasonable... and as luck would have it we had the same lovely gentleman...

We had my sisters baby shower here on Sunday and we are so glad we chose this pretty tea room! Rose was so informative and helpful beforehand when booking the area, no ask was too much for her. When we arrived she had sectioned off an area of the secret garden for us which was perfect. She let us decorate the area however we wanted and Rose and the team kept checking in to see how we were. We had sandwiches, scones and hot drinks, all of which were perfect and you could tell they were homemade. The team were very busy all day but never failed to see if we were okay or needed anything. The prices were very reasonable for what you get. A wonderful little tea room! Will definitely be returning and would 100% recommend....

I visited with my 2yr old at 10am on a Sunday only to be greeted with 'banter' and loud swearing as I walked through the door. Effs sake this or something similar was said. I didn't need my 2yr old hearing that. There were 4 members of staff working in the kitchen area. I then paid for a very over priced 'crumpet' order which consisted of two crumpets and a pot of jam, one black and crispy that my toddler wouldnt eat and one edible. £2.90. Took 10 minutes to get our crumpets which is a bit disappointing considering we were the only people there. No thanks, never again. We'll eat at home before we visit the garden centre and pet shop, which are...
