Balti Palace — Restaurant in Wolverhampton

The food is wonderful. The service is diabolical. The price is not the cheapest. There are a lot of indian restaurants equally as good and cheaper in town. We went to celebrate my daughters birthday recently. Our order was slow to be taken up to begin with. We were a party of ten and once served with our meal, after several people had finished the waiters began collecting the plates whilst several people were still eating. The reason was they had people waiting for tables so we were being rushed to vacate so that they could take more business. The people waiting were stood at the front of the restaurant overlooking every one inside sat down eating. We felt rushed and cheated as we were not able to relax and chat as expected over what was a good meal apart from my wife who did not enjoy her vegetarian curry. Really good food sensibly priced. What's not to like. BYOB in the restaurant too.

Edit. It's six years since I posted that review. Oh my, I had a takeaway this evening and it was lovely. I've been away too long. Not in prison or anything like that, bent over a chair being rammed by Mr Big. Just moved away. Honest.

Update. Christmas Eve delivery 2024. Heavens. Nargis kebab, chicken tikka, king prawn pathia on Puri, mixed bins bhuna (prawn, chicken tikka, lamb, king prawn), keema rice, chicken tikka kiran special, garlic naan.

Nothing left! The only thing; the garlic naan could've had more garlic.

Ordered food at 1830 with a 2005 delivery time. Food was delivered at 2129. Wouldn't have minded as much but Balti Palace marked our meal delivered at 2015 and had their phone off the hook do we didn't know if there was a problem with the order, food, delivery, location, technology. Just left in the dark wondering if we should make other arrangements for over an hour. I'm guessing marking our food delivered on time is some way to game the Just Eat system.

Not communicating massive delay to customer and lied about delivery;would not recommend. Next time just be honest. If I can't trust you to be honest about delivery, how can I trust you to be honest about...
