Busy but lovely cafĂ©! We called to book a table, which aside from some slight signal issues was easy. Staff were friendly, menu had a great selection and food was fresh & tasty. The drinks (apple juice and water) were served without ice, and would’ve benefited from some ice in the glass. The tuna panini was also meant to come with red onion, but this was missing - I only noticed this halfway through eating it to be fair, so it didn’t make much difference for me personally! Would recommend :)

I asked for a Brie and Cranberry panini without bacon, which was available at request as stated on the menu, then received the panini with bacon. I enjoyed the 2nd panini that was brought out and the rest of the meal was lovely. Great service but I specifically asked if the rocky road had raisins/currents and 2 members of staff confidently said no, unfortunately the piece I purchased is full of both. I appreciate it was busy but as a vegetarian I don’t like being served meat!

Amazing food very good service generous portion size, one of the best breakfast experiences I’ve had, very busy bit of confusion with reserved tables but did not take away from the standard of the food and service, outside seating with heating available and toilets on-site. If your in Wolverhampton and near tettenhall go and get your self some yummy breakfast, travelled quite a distance to eat well worth the travel! Would recommend! Will be back

Since the transition in ownership from Richard and his wife in 2020, the establishment, formerly known as ‘Cute Coffee’, has regrettably experienced a decline in quality. It remained so named "Cute Coffee" while under new ownership, riding on the previous owners name for some time, but with all new staff. It then changed over to Burgy's, which is a good move since it was not fair to equate what was once a beacon of excellence with what it is now. Now they employ staff who lack the fundamental skills to craft even a basic cup of coffee.

Coffee Catastrophe: In 2024, the lack of microfoam leading to a watery texture is no longer acceptable, especially when even an average barista at Costa can achieve superior results. The servings have been downsized and are now presented in novelty glass cups. These cups, while claimed to be thermally superior, seem to lack both cleanliness and practicality. Their handles are too small for comfortable holding, and their transparency seems more like a strategy to emphasize the reduced serving size. Porcelain, with its proven thermal properties and durability, has been the superior choice for decades.

The optimal serving temperature of coffee, as suggested by top baristas and coffee experts, ranges between 68ÂșC and 79ÂșC. This range, however, can vary depending on the type of coffee and requires a certain level of expertise and passion to perfect. The current trend of people demanding their coffee to be served at boiling point could be seen as a reflection of societal decline. However, there are critical reasons why coffee should never be served at such high temperatures due to the destruction it causes to the flavours.

Here, the coffee appears to be prepared by individuals who lack passion for their craft, in short, its rubbish.

Cake Calamity: The cakes, served in disappointingly small portions and left unrefrigerated, are warm and overly soft due to their placement on the counter, resulting in an unappetising, sloppy dessert.

Hygiene Charade: One might have learned by now that a 5-star rating should always be taken with a pinch of salt. One particular employee, a young blonde girl, has a habit of hastily sweeping the floor, kicking up dust towards customers in her hurry. Shockingly, she then uses the same unclean brush to clean the seats.

The tables, tainted with a distinct bacterial odour, reminiscent of a dirty, rotten flannel, are cleaned with a domestic spray product and a dirty dishcloth. In the UK, the Food Standards Agency recommends using disposable blue roll and sanitiser that meets BS EN 1276 or BS EN 13697 standards in food establishments. This practice ensures that bacteria and allergens picked up by the cloth will not be spread. This company, however, prefers to save a few pennies at the expense of hygiene. The filthy cloth and the unpleasant smell are telltale signs of this negligence.

Moreover, the Food Safety Guru, a UK-based food safety resource, advises against using cloths as they spread bacteria from one place to another, especially in kitchens. It’s alarming to think that this place takes safety so lightly, rendering the 5-star food rating almost meaningless.

Conclusion: This establishment is in dire need of properly trained management to rectify these issues. It also requires investment in commercial-grade refrigeration for desserts, and to make use of the ones they already have instead of treating them like ornaments. The loss of these standards is indeed...

Have visited Cute since opening and the original owners. This visit was under the new name and management. The renovation looks great however the noise and acoustics really don't make for an enjoyable trip, as very very loud. Perhaps white noise or something to combat this would be a good idea. On this occasion I waited a significant amount of time to be greeted and ended up approaching a friendly staff member at the coffee machienes to ask if there were spare tables and the wait time. The two of us sat outside as much quieter. The new menu is varied and has a wide selection. Food was well presented and tasted great, all items were hot and surpassed expectations. We ordered a chicken panini and a bacon/brie panini. Coffees were hot and strong. However, a couple of things to improve experience: it would be ideal to have sugar/sweetener on the table to save customers having to wait for staff to return with items and coffees getting cold. Cutlery pre meals being served and again having to wait to eat would help experience. Unsure of there was an error with till system or table numbers but staff were taking food to the incorrect tables. We could have eaten our food twice and other food. This doesn't look great when you can see you food wandering the coffee shop getting cold.

All staff were friendly and the experience was positive. Service was disjointed in places and I am sure teething problems whilst under new ownership. Will return and try again soon as food...

Couple of “mature” Australians who love their coffee, good cafes and every now and then a nice breakfast
been doing this for decades and we go to a cafe nearly every day - back home a few favourites and when travelling try a different cafe each day
Had done some research before hand looking for a cafe where we could stop for breakfast & a coffee on the way between our cottage in Shrewsbury & National Trust Wightwick just out of Wolverhampton. Found Burgy’s online and it was just a pull in off the actual road (and just down the road) to Wightwick. Even Googled Earthed it - and outside & area looked okay
We also decided to give it a try as on their menu they had pancakes - with banana & honey as well as French toast with Berry compote. The fact that we got caught in the grid lock on the M54 between junctions 2 & 3 today (and we were getting off at Junction 2) - gee I’m sounding like a POM here - meant we were hanging out for a good coffee/breakfast and sit down & relax. We got everything we hoped for. WOW what a find
been touring around England for the past 7 weeks and this was one of the best cafes we have come across - coffees were hot & very good (oat & semi skimmed flat whites)
but the pancakes & French toast that we shared equally were both EXCELLENT. Well presented outside and inside was very upmarket, lots of locals (we were the only Australians for example) comfortable and relaxed and everything well presented. Prompt & friendly service...
