When I visited this cafe yesterday afternoon, 8th July '24, your serving staff were, as usual, friendly and helpful, made me feel welcome as a customer and my coffee and hot sandwich, were hot and tasty as expected.
Unfortunately, when I came to leave, my car wouldn't start and I had to call for a breakdown service. I became a little anxious that waiting for them to arrive and fix my car, would put me over the newly imposed time limit of 90 minutes for parking and so I sought advice from the serving staff.
I am pleased to say, that I was quickly reassured by them that all should be well and that I should not be charged for overstaying in this event and so, I could then relax and enjoy what I had purchased while I waited.
I would like to add that, invariably the staff at this cafe (my nearest Costa Coffee shop) over more than a year now since I've been visiting there, have been friendly, helpful and attentive and have made me feel welcome and so I have been able to relax and take 'time out' of my day, while there.

Came to Costa yesterday with my little twins, I was really looking forward to it as I’m always stuck at home and unfortunately I was quite disappointed with my whole experience. So I ordered a capuccino with a lemon cake, they got my drink ready and I took it to my table and sat down then I realised after a while that my slice of cake was missing so I went to the tills and told the girl, then she said she needs to check the receipt, I told her I wasn’t given a receipt as everything was quiet rushed, then she checked on her till and just gave it to me without saying sorry or anything, I was at least expecting an apology for forgetting half of my order, and the place wasn’t even that busy so I don’t understand how they just forgot.
The owner needs to do something about it! The staff needs to be trained again, customer service is 0 such a shame because it’s such a nice location, no wonder it’s always quiet. Also the place looked a mess, bins were full and tables needed cleaning, the staff was just busy chatting...
Read moreSo I've just been treated to the worst standard of service, and it came from the manager, whose behaviour was rude and unfit for his role. I ordered a mocha, and as I've had these from Costa since Costa started I kind of know what to expect, so when it was made it was dumped in front of me by the male barista who turned out to be the manager. I went to the car, and on tasting, it was clearly not a mocha. I returned back inside and explained after he ignored me initially that it wasn't a mocha. He opened the lid, sniffed it, and told me I was wrong. I explained it wasn't a mocha, to which he replied, "So what do you expect? ".. "I'll make another." He went off and made another, again dumped it down and walked away... no apology, so I walked away and shock my head, to which he then loudly replied, "What do you want? I made another one!". I explained there was no apology..to which he replied "take your coffee and go".
If this is the standard of management that Costa creates, then I know you'll lose loyal customers. Absolutely appaling behaviour and hardly...
