VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I’ve been their customers from so many years, I used to come with my family when I was younger as I just love their food but after yesterday I will never ever go there again!! Yesterday around 5 pm I went there with my sister to get some snacks as it was bank holiday. I went to the till there was a tall man with glasses who was serving, he was already very rude with the staff members and he was rushing everything. Anyways I started placing my order and I’ve asked for one ā€œALOO CHATā€, after taking my order he asked me to wait on the sofas. After 20 minutes he called me over and showed me the food but the chat wasn’t the same one that I always have so I’ve asked him what it was. He said it’s ā€œALOO CHANA CHATā€ so I said there’s been a confusion I’ve asked for ā€œALOO TIKKI CHATā€ he gave me the angriest look ever! He goes that I wasn’t clear before wich I’ve apologise even if it was his fault as I didn’t know there’s different type of alo chat and he didn’t double check with me about which one I want, but still I’ve apologised just to not make the situation worst. Insted of accepting my apologies he was keep moaning infront of everyone that I’ve wasted 5Ā£ from his pocket by ordering the wrong one bla bla. Even if he didn’t take my order right, he showed me the paper with my order written it said ā€œ ALOO CHATā€ not aloo chana chat!! Anyways he was keep moaning making me feel uncomfortable everyone at the restaurant were staring at us it was just embarrassing!! Even if I said sorry he didn’t stop to moan until I left that place !! Why would you treat your customers like this? I was upset all afternoon even when I got home because it was such a embarrassing moment for me and I will never ever go back there again!! There was a miss understanding he didn’t double check which chat I want and I didn’t know that there are different type of aloo chat. There was no need to make me feel this bad, embarrassing me infront of staff people and customers. YOU GUYS NEED TO SORT OUT YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!...

Here's the thing. I have never written an online review. Ever.

Be it a meal, a product or anything else, the recognition that anyone can have the odd off-day, is enough to stop me writing something that may adversely impact someone's hard earned livelihood.

But that was before I had the misfortune to visit Lakshmi.

How do you order, get served and eat without your presence even being acknowledged?

Ask the staff at Lakshmi.

We (politely) ordered and paid for samosas and chai whilst deliberating over our main course. The man scowled and simply held out his hand for payment. We paid and thanked him as we received our change. The entire transaction without the staff uttering a single word or even making eye contact.

After a long wait our samosas our finally arrived and the waiter unloaded the food from the tray, again without bothering to speak or making any eye contact, whilst we thanked him for bringing our meal.

I bit into my (stale, dry, bland) samosa and noticed it was hot on the outside but lukewarm on the inside. I politely tried to get the waiter's attention, but he simply walked right past.

The chai was served and I complained to the waiter about the samosas. He ignored us, made no eye contact and simply gave us our chai as if nothing had happened. The tea tasted as if it had been reheated. We didn't bother complaining.

I am accustomed to distinctly average service at some desi places and frankly I don't care. One could even argue it's part of the bluff charm of the traditional sweet centre/curry house.

But this was something else altogether: indifference bordering on outright hostility, combined...

We recently hosted our son's 18th birthday party at Lakshmi Sweet Centre, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The venue was beautifully decorated and provided a perfect setting for the celebration.

The food was absolutely outstanding. Each dish was a culinary delight, bursting with authentic flavors that left our guests raving. The variety of sweets and savory items on offer was impressive, ensuring that everyone had something to enjoy. The quality and presentation of the food truly exceeded our expectations.

The service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of the event ran smoothly. They were attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly, making sure that all our needs were met promptly and efficiently. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate special requests made the day even more special.

Overall, Lakshmi Sweet Centre provided an exceptional venue, delicious food, and top-notch service, creating a memorable celebration for our son's milestone birthday. We couldn't have asked for a better place to host this important event and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a venue for their...

At the recommendation of a friend, our group convened at Lakshmi Sweets & Restaurant nestled in Wolverhampton. Enticed by the prospect of genuine Indian cuisine, I eagerly delved into the culinary adventure that awaited. The mixed grill presented an enticing array of sizzling tandoori chicken, succulent lamb, and tender fish, each bite bursting with authentic flavours. The generous portion sizes ensured satisfaction, while the aromatic spices transported us to the heart of India's culinary landscape. Lakshmi Sweet Centre proved to be a hidden gem, offering a taste of traditional Indian fare amidst the Midlands. The experience was a testament to the rich diversity of flavours and the warm hospitality that defines Indian cuisine, making Lakshmi Sweets & Restaurant a destination worth revisiting for its delightful culinary offerings.

We travelled all the way from Birmingham to eat here - however, found it incredibly misleading that the price of the same item in the dine in menu is almost 5 times the price in the takeaway menu for quite a few items and 2-3 times for others. We did opt in for takeaway in that case but even there found irregularities since some items were priced per pc and others per kgs which really impacted the cost effectiveness for any consumer. Regardless, taste of the food was indeed amazing- so would recommend trying for sure - yet please beware on the pricing concerns.

Lakshmi Sweet Centre offers an array of tantalizing Indian sweets & Punjabi food, each bite a burst of flavor and tradition. However, amid this culinary delight, navigating the parking situation proves to be a formidable task. Despite the challenge, the allure of their treats makes the effort worthwhile, ensuring a sweet or savoury experience that awaits those who persevere through the parking predicament.
