First time at Dosa Hut and I was impressed by the upstairs sitting space in particular; the booths were comfortable and the toilets were clean. As for the service, it was friendly and efficient with an average wait time of about five minutes for food, which is impressive by any restaurant standard. As for the food; I ordered the chilli paneer and fries as a starter. The paneer was soft and fresh and smothered in a sticky, spicy sauce. There was a slight imbalance from sauce to paneer ratio, however it was one of the best dishes of the evening. The fries were fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, perfect as chips go. For the main I ordered the plain dosa and the dosa itself was very crispy and absolutely gigantic, but the sambar was far too spicy and hit the back of the throat upon eating. Three chutneys came with the meal: a coconut, a tomato based, and a chilli/mint. Out of the three I’d recommend the tomato as it was flavourful and a sweet relief from the spice of everything else. The chilli/mint chutney was refreshing and cut the grease of the dosa, although the coconut chutney left much to be desired as it was quite bland possessed a slightly dry texture. For dessert I ordered the chocolate ice-cream and an Irish coffee. The coffee was generously topped with whipped cream and had a deep bitter flavour, but the Jameson whisky added was very overpowering and had little flavour. The coffee would have suited better with Bailies or even a sweeter brew. The chocolate icecream was rich, creamy and perfectly sweetened. I would happily come back just for a scoop.

Overall I would rate Dosa Hut 3.5/5 as the attentive service and fast delivery really carried the experience, although all the dishes I ordered were over-spiced and lacking depth. Out of all the dishes the dosa, as the name of the restaurant implies, was the signature dish of the evening. In my humble opinion, adding a milder sambar to the menu and sweeter chutneys for dipping would gain another star for the eatery. Hats off to the chefs for the perfect...

Dosa Hut on Dudley Road in Wolverhampton is a true culinary gem, bringing the authentic, vibrant flavors of South India right to the heart of the city. For anyone seeking a delicious, healthy, and genuinely satisfying meal, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit.

The star of the show, without a doubt, is their dosa. For the uninitiated, a dosa is a thin, crispy pancake made from a fermented batter of rice and lentils – a staple of South Indian cuisine that's both incredibly tasty and remarkably healthy. At Dosa Hut, they elevate this simple dish to an art form. Each dosa is cooked to perfection: golden-brown, delicately crisp on the outside, and subtly soft within. Whether you opt for the classic Masala Dosa, generously filled with a spiced potato mixture, or explore other varieties like the paneer or even more adventurous options, you're guaranteed a fresh and flavorful experience. The dosas are always served with an array of traditional accompaniments – a fragrant sambar (a lentil-based vegetable stew) and an assortment of fresh chutneys that perfectly complement the main dish, adding layers of tang, spice, and creaminess.

Beyond the exceptional food, Dosa Hut boasts a convenient location, making it incredibly easy to reach. Situated on Dudley Road, it's a quick 10-minute journey from both Wolverhampton's bus and train stations, making it ideal for a spontaneous meal or a planned culinary outing. The restaurant maintains a clean, inviting atmosphere, and the staff are typically efficient and welcoming, happy to guide you through the menu if you're new to South Indian fare. It's more than just a meal; it’s an authentic taste journey that’s both healthy and incredibly satisfying, truly standing out in Wolverhampton’s...

Hi Everyone I recently visited dosa hut (Wolverhampton) for the first time and although the ambience was nice, I got utterly disappointed with the serving staff's behavior. I and my friend visited the restaurant at around 4:30 pm and we quickly ordered starters followed by drinks and main course. The restaurant was almost empty at that time. However we instantly felt after just 20 minutes of occupying the table that we are placed in some 'watch list' and the serving staff's manager started hovering near our table and he sporadically kept looking at his wrist watch. I was notified by my friend who spotted this act immediately and then I too sighted his time tracking activity. We pretended not to notice it and just concentrated on our conversation and food. However when we were almost about to finish our main course, in a flash, the waitress popped in and asked in a haste if we need anything else. Both I and my friend learnt right away that the manager wanted to get rid of us , so that the table (which was not reserved by other customers) could be given to other customers. Surprisingly the restaurant had plenty of tables around which were empty. We had the plans for ordering few more drinks and probably a dessert after our main course but decided to go to some other place where we could be treated by 'customer focused' serving staff who greets in a friendly way and are not in a rush to drive them away. If there is table occupancy limit of 60 minutes then I will really appreciate if customers can be informed about it beforehand and that is what is called 'professionalism'. Hope the above suggestion helps as such a thing/act can put off any potential customer. Thanks Best...

Really nice tasty food, staff were accomodating, friendly and were clearly working really hard. For a Monday night it was extremely busy which shows how popular it is. It seems like a small expanding business that is probably looking to grow, although staff were attentive it was really busy for the amount of guests and there were just a few things that I'd have considered if I knew there was a wait for food such as maybe snacks on the table or drinks a little earlier than we got them. We were a larger party so I expect there to be a little bit of a wait, we definitely weren't complaining, the food was really nice. The food is on the spicier side for anyone ordering not used to spicy food. The waitress was very informative and helpful. It's worth noting that there is seating upstairs and it's worth knowing for accessibility the rest room is one step up from the ground floor. As far as I knew there was only one toilet with a sink for both men and women, it was clean and well presented. Good choice of vegetarian dishes and dosas were absolutely huge. Delicious. Great place, I'm sure we'll go again.

I don’t live in Wolverhampton but 2 of my very good friends do. I was visiting them for a big 60th birthday party, and they took me to this place they love ! One of my friends lived in India, so he is familiar with authentic South Indian cuisine. This place is as authentic as they come, the service is fast and efficient, and the food is unapologetically true to the South Indian standards. Everything was delicious. The menu is vast, so I needed guidance. I do not remember what we ordered as my friends knew the menu inside out, so they chose for me and we all tasted each others dishes! All amazing ! We shared everything because all of it was delicious. Sadly I forgot to take pictures of the main courses because we were too busy eating and enjoying ourselves. The place is full of Indian families with children and Indian couples or groups of friends, clearly there for the incredibly good food they prepare ! Make no mistake this is not Brick lane in London, it’s a different, much better level of cooking! If in Wolverhampton, this is a must !
