Bad one here recently. Food was not up to scratch. My half a chicken had clearly come out the drawer and not actually been on the grill. I started eating it but then discovered blood inside it near the bone. I went up to the counter with plate in hand and asked to see the manager.
A young blonde woman said 'I'm the manager what's up' I calmly shown her the uncooked chicken and the fact that non of it was charred either a clear sign that it had missed a step of the cook. And to my surprise she told me this was NORMAL and there was nothing wrong with it. Apparently chicken is often bloody??
To be clear, I didn't want anyone to grovel, I was just hoping that someone would recognise the mistake had been made, not try and justify it!
I literally can't believe her attitude, I get that it was the end of the night, I get that they all likely just want to go home. But if you are the manager, you are supposed to be conducting yourself in a manner fitting to that position.
I was not rude, I was calm and concise. I recognise that mistakes happen, we're only human. But then trying to justify it to me...power trip or what idk.
In hindsight, I'm not even convinced she was the manager. Who knows.

Read moreMy third time being to this Nando's. First time, food there was good - taste good, atmosphere was just like any other new eating restaurant. The second time, the food was still good services slow, atmosphere a bit loud. My third time now, food... no singing or dancing with the chicken. it's just CHICKEN. Putting the mildest to hottest pepper sauce on chicken doesn't make chicken taste any better, deep fried and making it crisp, doesn't make it taste any better too. SEASON the dam meat...not with just salt and pepper, but with SEASONING. Now with the service, a table was sorted for the party of ××××, being shown to the table it was wet, seating was wet, still after it was perp before we sat down. We the party had to use the napkins of the table to dry the table and seating. The good thing, is that a a well mannered staff asked if all was OK, I thank you for doing so with a smile, and for getting the salt for me. "You don't know how much I appreciate what you did". Read moreOrdered the wing platter in store and collected, when we arrived home we noticed that the wings were burnt. Called the store to complain and find out what solution they can give. The manager at first said to take a picture and send it to a number she was going to give. We told her we have taken a picture already but then she changed her mind and became rude and unwilling to help. She asked that we bring the wings back to the store and blamed us for not checking the wings before leaving the store, since when are customers supposed to open the boxes they packed and inspect the quality. When they were packing the wings they clearly saw that they were burnt but still went ahead to give us burnt food. She said she can't do anything about it without us coming back to the store, we explained that it was too far and what happened to the first choice of sending a picture. We asked for her name as we will be putting in a complaint and she said there was no point complaining since the complaint will go to her anyway then she hung up the phone.
