Have been here several times before, for lunch, evening meals and this is my second afternoon tea. The evening and lunch food is presented well and tastes lovely, I always order Vegetarian so have experienced mostly all the vege menu. A lovely place to have lunch and dinner. The service is always consistent, restaurant always looks well presented there are little areas in the restaurant where you can be seated dependent on your group size. The décor is lovely. The seats are couches are comfortable. There were four of us booked in for a vegetarian afternoon tea, the food variation is lovely. Selection of mocktails and drinks are good. We were served by Dumi she was lovely; the afternoon tea is a well worth one. As a vegetarian you struggle to get good food but then to receive an array of finger food for your afternoon tea is a delight. Wel balance of cakes on the top layer, Red velvet, macaroons, chocolate fudge cake. The scones are lovely with the cream and jam, a well-stocked cake stand if you ask me. The spices and variation of food and cakes are amazing a afternoon tea well worth experiencing £30.00 for two with tea coffee included.

I had a wonderful vegetarian Indian afternoon tea at Uday’s on Dudley Road in Wolverhampton. The decor is classy and modern, with a peaceful ambiance and a beautiful glass waterfall feature that really sets the tone. The afternoon tea was a great mix of Indian street food and classic bites – pav bhaji, veg fingers with chips, samosa, papdi chaat, gol guppe, sandwiches, macarons, gulab jamun, and chilli soya. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and well-presented. The masala chai was a standout – rich, warm, and perfectly spiced. The service was excellent – the whole team was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. A special thanks to Binesh, who made sure everything ran smoothly. A lovely experience all around – I’d definitely recommend it!

Our first visit to this restaurant on a Friday lunchtime was a great success The interior decor and layout is stylishly choreographed. I should imagine on an evening the atmosphere is buzzing. We absolutely loved the Hariyali chicken tikka and grilled chicken wing starters. The flavours and spices are a refreshing change to the standard tikka and shish kebabs found in standard Indian restaurants. The taste is a cut above others We loved the Kolhapuri dishes complemented by peshwari naans and house red merlot wine. We loved the meals so much we ordered Kulfi pistachio deserts and cocktails to wash them down. We will definitely visit again with friends and family next time.

If you're looking for an authentic Indian dining experience that will tantalize your taste buds and transport you to the streets of Mumbai, then Uday Restaurant is the place to be!

From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that sets the tone for an unforgettable meal. The aromas of freshly ground spices and sizzling tandoori dishes will make your mouth water as you peruse the extensive menu of classic Indian fare.

Start off with some delectable appetizers like the crispy samosas or the succulent chicken tikka. And if you're feeling adventurous, try the chaat, a traditional Indian street food that's bursting with flavor and texture.

For the main course, Uday Restaurant has something for everyone. Vegetarians can delight in the rich and creamy paneer dishes, while meat lovers will swoon over the tender lamb and chicken curries. And don't forget to order some freshly baked naan bread to mop up all the delicious sauces!

But the true star of the show at Uday Restaurant is their biryani, a fragrant rice dish that's packed with spices, herbs, and tender pieces of meat or vegetables. This dish alone is worth the trip to Uday Restaurant.

And if you're in the mood for something sweet, Uday Restaurant has a wide variety of desserts to choose from, including the classic gulab jamun and the decadent ras malai.

Overall, Uday Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves Indian food or wants to experience the rich and diverse flavors of this incredible cuisine. With its welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and mouth-watering dishes, Uday Restaurant is sure to become your new favorite spot for a delicious...

I'm leaving this review in the hope that someone actually reads it and responds. I have been ordering take out from this place since it opened and also use their other restaurant up the street almost every week. Today I placed an order over the phone and confirmed how long it would be as I always have to wait when I turn up in 30 minutes. I get to the restaurant 45 mins later and the member of staff is adamant that I called and cancelled my order. He is then backed up by another member of staff who also said that I called and cancelled. I showed them my call history and they showed me their phone and it was evident that I did not call to cancel my order. I felt like they were calling me a liar and the arrogance was ridiculous. Why would I turn up to a restaurant to collect an order if I cancelled it? Fine, I'm stuck and really annoyed, I have to deal with kids and family at home waiting for food that we ordered an hour ago. They rushed and got the food ready in record time. 20 mins later they call me on my phone and say the order is ready. It was missing only 1 item I ordered, I called them back and asked them over the phone but again, the same attitude prevailed, I was assured the missing item was in the bag. Well the missing item was not in the bag and I just gave up because I can't be presumed a liar thrice in one night by 3 different members of staff. Although I enjoyed the food many times over this duration I can honestly say the attitude today was appalling. Probably won't be coming back anytime soon. This is my first negative review for...

8th July 2023. This was truly a very unfortunate and uncomfortable experience to have, after being told by friends, how lovely the restaurant is, we decided to celebrate a birthday there, Only moments after being seated, we noticed the chef put his fingers in his mouth on more than one occasion within less than a minute, it’s something I don’t expect any chef to do when catering for customers or anything else. There was no reason to for any chef to behave in such a manner and extremely unprofessional and unhygienic. Traditionally, chefs would use utensils such as spoons to taste what they have cooked, certainly not fingers. This opened up a whole raft of questions of the quality and hygiene standards within the kitchen. We made a decision not to eat, but had a drink at the bar, A few moments later, I decided to share my concern with the restaurant manager who was identified by one of the bar staff. The response I got from the restaurant manager, and I quote, “oh, ok” . I explained that we had changed our mind to eat there for the behaviour of the kitchen chefs. What was more concerning was that the restaurant manager didn’t seem to be concerned or bothered, we finished our drinks and left and had no acknowledgement by the restaurant manager upon exiting. We will not be visiting this restaurant or recommending this to anyone...
