After sharing our disappointing wreath making experience via email with constructive feedback, we have been greeted with a very curt response essentially telling us our feedback and experience is incorrect⊠So after an opportunity to take on valuable feedback, which was declined by the director I feel itâs fair to share our experience as a review. We joined a wreath making workshop last weekend. Excited having done a wreath making workshop last year elsewhere (in the Cotswolds which I may add was a lower cost for a 2.5 hour session with drinks and mince pies included), having recently moved back to the area, I was keen to try somewhere local so suggested here. The workshop felt very rushed, with not much support and unfortunately even after asking for additional foliage/materials for decoration that had run out, we were told they were all gone. We did also feedback, our hot drinks arrived luke warm and the workshop did start a little late however the director disagreed (appears she must of tried our hot drinks for us!) Towards the end, the staff were manically packing up around us as they had to rush to their next workshop at another venue and even one of the staff member said to us âoh last year everyone had 2 hours but theyâve crammed into 1.5 hours this year so it is a lot more rushedâ to which we agreed as I hadnât even been able to finish my wreath (partly due to lack of decorative items left as the final workshop of the day). For ÂŁ50 plus the cost of drinks on top of this, we just felt in comparison to another experience some of us had the previous year, it was disappointing and not the festive experience we had hoped. Therefore we decided to feed this back politely over email simply explaining the reasons for our disappointment, to which Stefania the director, essentially told us, she had done the workshop and had more than enough time and more than enough decorative items - again she had not taken onboard any of our feedback, given she was not in our workshop, this is an irrelevant and quite frankly unprofessional response to some honest constructive feedback. My advice would be to extend the workshop times next year to allow more time so the experience feels less rushed and ensure ample decorative items for all workshop times. Unsurprisingly will not be returning to Bennettâs in general after the directors...
Read moreWhat a great place. Tucked away off the Malvern Road in Lower Wick Worcester a brilliant lively and friendly cafe in a wildlife setting by the side of a small lake with ducks. Tranquil with a rural feel. We went on a chilly frosty Winters morning for breakfast, received a warm welcome and had a terrific breakfast. 1 full English and 1 full vegetarian. Very tasty served to your table. Portion size is quite substantial. Willow Barn is set up for all ages and laid out over 2 floors with lots of space and a combination of tables and sofas. Its tastefully but functionally decorated in a modern style Perfect for families and fully accessible for people with mobility needs or children in buggies. There's a good basic breakfast menu that includes vegetarian and vegan options. The menu says that allergies etc are catered for. In addition to hot food there is a wide selection of cakes, snacks and drinks along with the famous Bennets Farm ice cream. You can also buy fresh eggs there. WC facilities are clean and include a designated infant changing and disability WC. Lots of high chairs and parking for buggies. There is a play area and terrace area with tables outside overlooking the lake. Plenty of parking. For readers who are planning to get married it's also a wedding venue. Had a quick peek at the wedding room and it looked inviting and definitely worth considering. There is a wedding fayre there at end of Jan 2022. Any negatives? Well the toast with the breakfast could improve. Disappointingly thin sliced white bread. Gluten free options were limited cake wise. The terrace area surface was extremely slippery which you cross to get into the cafe. There was a warning sign but no grit or salt laid down. However this would not be a problem most of the time. I fully recommend Willow Farm and will go again to try the lunches or maybe afternoon tea. Looking forward to a visit in the Spring...
Read moreBrought my partner here for the first time after raving how lovely it was the time I went before with my friend. We ordered 2 scrambled egg on toast...one with sourdough and one granary, one hot chocolate and 1 pot of tea. We were directed upstairs as downstairs was full and to be honest it was not welcoming or clean and tidy or near the standard of the cafe downstairs...felt like a forgotten space .... We sat at a huge empty table which was dirty so decided to move when a couple moved to their table. We waited half hr before I went to ask where the scrambled egg was as still hadn't even had our drinks..I was told a large table had just ordered and that's why it was late ...I asked for the table to be cleaned and she said she was coming to clean it but wr had moved. This is not so as she cannot see us from downstairs and she didn't know about the table being dirty too...which she didn't clean knowing we had left it. We then got the food and no drinks. The sourdough was not sourdough it was toasted white bread. We said the drinks hadn't arrived so she went again to collect them and delivered hot chocolate and cappuccino...I explained I had ordered a pot of tea . She said she looked at the wrong ticket. It seemed as though our entire order had been misplaced and we were forgotten. I was so disappointed and upset as its not a cheap place to go and I have no issue paying when the food and service and environment is up to the asking price but even the hot chocolate was not pleasant. Sad to say I won't recommend and I...
