Have visited several times over the years. No problem. Met up with my son and his girlfriend on September 14th for a Sunday lunch. 4 of us. It was busy but not overly so. We were taken to our seats quite quickly and a menu given. Waited a long time for them to come back to take the order to the point we were wondering if we were supposed to order on the app. Eventually the young waitress came over and took our order. 3 of us chose tandoori skewers. She asked us what sauce we wanted which we thought was strange as we noted it was a new dish with no sauce offered. She went away and never came back. We waited for our salad bowls and waited for our drinks… nothing came. Other tables around us that had been seated later got their bowls and glasses but still we waited. We tried to grab attention several times by putting our hands up as they were passing but we were ignored each time. After around 25 minutes we finally got a bowl and a glass for our drinks. We then awaited again for our mains. When the mains did come out we were not given tandoori skewers… but given plain chicken skewers with sauce?? We ate it as by this point we were all starving and losing the will. My son was still eating his dinner when the waitress came over and started clearing the other 3 plates away. He stopped what he was eating and that got taken away too. As she was taking that plate away we were asked if we would like anything else. We didn’t. The bill was then brought to us 15 seconds later without us even asking for it and she stood there awaiting payment. Not an enjoyable meal and as it was a birthday treat it will sadly be memorable.

All I can say is if you're thinking about take out, don't bother. We collected our food to take away with us because we have two new born twins who cannot leave the house at the moment. On arrival we were told it was not ready and so waited in the bar - that was fine with us. 10 minutes later it was ready. When questioning if we had drinks with our order we felt the manager was quite rude and abrupt in his answer (I don't know did you?) Upon producing our receipt he then went off to get our drinks.... Or so we thought. He went off to serve food for other customers first and then apologised and went off to get our drinks. 10 minutes later with our take out food going cold and we got our drinks and left. When home and plating up the food, several orders were not fulfilled completely. One meal did not have the mashed potato, one meal was missing the maple syrup - with the chicken tougher than Gandhi's flip flop; and other meals with barely any food considering we paid at least £15 for each meal. It was poor... And cold too. £99 spent to feed the family that evening and wouldn't have paid even £30 for it. Eating harvester as a take away or in their garden just isn't worth it. Eating in the restaurant most of the time is lovely though. Such a shame!

We came twice in a week when we stated over this way for a holiday. We rang in advance the 1st time as we had our dog with us and wanted to see if there was any where we could eat with her. We were very kindly told we could eat in the garden ...it was 30degrees so that was more than fine with us !! The meal was beautiful...fast and faultless. We were tended to with friendliness and we left happy. My only quarm would be the chip portions are so tiny !!! Literally my husband had 7 chips ( I took the biggest so he had even less!) Sure you can " double your portion " for extra cash but we didn't know we'd get so little at the time. The salad bar was full...tasty and fresh. The second time we went however the cous cous and an extra pasta dish was missing so maybe not so well stocked all of the time. All in all...a really good place to come. Fast and filling x

Haven't been here for a few years after previous disappointing visits, so decided to try on a Saturday evening, which wasn't too busy. Initial welcome was quick and food order was taken promptly with salad bowls provided very shortly after. Pretty much as you expect.

The salad bar didn't seem too fresh, with lettuce going brown where it had been cut and onions looking a little dry. A couple of the containers were also in need of refiling. It seemed like the variety of salad items had decreased since the last time I was there.

Food arrived in a timely fashion and the main meal I'd chosen was a burger. Having not eaten much all day, my eyes had grown considerably larger than my belly (my eyes must have been huge!), so I opted for an additional patty. On arrival, the bottom on the burger bun was soggy and the accompanying chips had a couple of peas in them when they should not. Nobody elses food on my table had peas. Now, peas aren't really an issue, but it does pose the question of how they got there and what else might be added to food inadvertently.

The beef patties were overcooked, quite chewy and not particularly hot, something I wouldn't have expected from the Harvester. This didn't make for a particularly nice burger. I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of complaining and then not eating with my family if they were to replace it.

We wanted to order a couple more drinks, but the waitress didn't materialise for another 45mins. In the mean time we went to the bar to get drinks and waited for 5 mins to find nobody serving there. We ended up sharing a free refill.

Mine wasn't the only disappointing meal on the table and the waitress clearly didn't know the menu when we asked questions about sides whilst placing our orders.

Desserts were good, but I guess some changes over time seem to be for cost saving, which I understand, but it does seem to have lessened the sundaes which used to be the best thing they did.

Overall, we were fed and watered, but £94 for 4 people to eat (drinks were ordered separately at the bar when we arrived) is quite steep. I've had far better meals at half that price.

I was pretty disappointed and probably...

We go to Harvester a lot (not this one though) but this was by far the worst experience we've ever encountered. Our table and chairs were dirty when we sat down so we ask if it could be cleaned. He literally wiped about a quarter of the table so most of it was still dirty. Eventually came to take our order and when he read it back to us it was wrong. We ordered bottomless drinks but no one brought the glasses over so we had to ask for them. Once we'd finished eating our food we sat with our plates in front of us for over 30 minutes waiting for someone to clear them and get our dessert order. Staff were walking past constantly but we were just ignored. My partner managed to ask someone if we could have a child's ice cream, she reluctantly took our order for it despite trying to get hold of our actual waiter but still didn't move the plates. No one came to ask if the adults wanted dessert or coffees or anything. After a further 15 minutes or so there was still no sign of the ice cream so we chased it up with the waitress and asked for our bill thinking that if we didn't ask for it that we'd be there forever waiting for that too! The bill arrived but still no ice cream. Apparently I was told the ice cream comes as part of the child's meal, but we never received it so why should I pay for something she never had!!!! All in all it was horrific and we certainly won't be going back there. I do appreciate it was a Sunday very close to Xmas and they were very busy when we first arrived (2.30 ish) but the restaurant had emptied by the time we were leaving so no excuse really for us just being ignored all afternoon. There seemed to be plenty of staff running around but a very distinct lack of organisation and...
