Back again on 40/11/22. We're now fairly frequent regulars at the Himalaya in St Johns. Food at The Himalaya continues to impress Five of us, all keen devotees of Asian cuisine, had different meals & every dish was superb. Definitely our preferred restaurant in Worcester. Nothing is too much bother, excwllent service. Thoroughly recommend Excellent food and great service. A small restaurant, so booking is recommended. Been here many times and food is always tasty, well cooked and attractively presented. As well as offering 'standard' dishes found in most 'Indian' restaurants, the menu also includes a number of less common dishes. Service is always attentive and efficient, although not intrustive, regardless of numbers - have been there as a trio up to 12 people. Staff are very accommodating, rearranging tables to meet one's needs and numbers. They are also happy to adapt dishes to suit individual tastes and dislikes, including replacing or excluding spices if needed. The restaurant sells soft drinks and supplies drinking water. You are welcomed to take your own alchol beverages and they will also open bottles for you, as needed. They don't levy a 'bottle opening charge' and will keep bottles chilled if needed. They never make us feel as if we've outstayed our allotted time. Decor and china is simple and modern. Thoroughly recommended for celebratory meals or an everyday 'curry' top up.

It was a first visit to the HiMalayan restaurant and we just had to write a review! We had chicken tikka, garlic rice a side order of masala sauce and Bombay potatoes … it was all absolutely delicious! The chicken was outstanding and the staff were great, we will definitely be coming back. We’ve given it 3 starts for the atmosphere as it was a bit basic inside and the music was great but way too quiet… louder music and a few candles would make all the difference.

Wow what lovely qusein, my wife and myself had a night out here and I even got to talk to the chef, he is a highly valued asset to this restaurant, making this the only place in Worcester that has food with the finest ingredients and the taste of a top London restaurant. Thanks for a fantastic night out Himalayan lounge.

Ever had one of those Friday nights where without much planning you fancy a meal out? So it was we ended up at the newly refurbished under new management Himalayan restaurant in St John's Worcester. We were a bit sceptical having eaten there some years back and not been too impressed. Well I can safely say this is definitely one to try. Booking easy peasy, welcome friendly warm professional, service attentive and helpful without being over the top. Venue , spotlessly clean including the toilets. Decor tasteful with some great pictures of the Himalayas and Mount Everest. Lighting good but could be a little lower for a more ambient feel. Access is up 2 steps but all on 1 level after that. Plenty of tables but adequately spaced out. This venue can cater for larger groups as well as couple etc. The restaurant is licensed and has a nice wine list aswell as 2 Indian beers, the usual Cobra and a Ghurka which we tried. Very nice great glasses too. Now to the food. It's fabulous. Wide menu including some soya dishes which I've not seen locally before. I chose for a starter for a change. Beautiful. Portion sizes are very good. Breads and chapatis cooked to perfection. I was offered more sauce with my curry if I wanted. Everything presented very well and attention to detail with great cutlery napkins and glasses. The staff were lovely and it was nice to see a mix of men and women all working together. They do takeaways too. Price is very reasonable. For the 2 of us with poppadoms, starters, mains, breads rice and side dish plus wine and beers £60. Yes we did go a bit mad but we were delighted to be eating out after a long gap. I absolutely recommend you give this place a try. You...

First time eating here, and I'm not coming back. We went as a large group for a birthday meal. The waiter took all our orders and when the mains arrived two main meals didn't arrive as well as rice. We had to get their attention to tell them this, and they left the mains off the order completely. Even though the waiter asked my friend are you sure its 3 chillis and very hot and wrote it down.

At this time, we had everything else, so we had to send back stuff to be warmed up again while waiting for the mains. No one bothered to check on us during the meal either. There was no apology and no comp mains for their mistake. We still had to pay for them even though most of us had finished before they even started. As well as clearing the table while some were still eating. A very rude place.

Customer service is definitely something that needs working on. We took the rice price off the bill ourselves due to them not even bringing it and then trying to argue that he did bring it when he didn't.

It's a real shame, really, as the foods are nice, but the place it's self a definitely a no go. As a few of the party I was with, I even knew the owner, and he knew then and spoke to them when arriving but didn't bother when they made a mistake. Things like this are what makes you not want to...
