Oh dear! What has happened to this place!!!!??? It's gone from family friendly, cosy woodland cafe to pretentious, bawdy, Ill-conceived disaster... The entrance is laughable...red twisted rope on posts as if going into The Ritz. The decor is totally out of keeping with the setting and the 'restaurant style' approach where you wait to be seated is ludicrous! Sat us in a booth that only one person could sit comfortably in, staff so busy sweeping the floor that our order wasn't taken and then served watery, tasteless Hot Chocolate. On the upside, the GF Millionaires Shortbread was delicious and you can still enjoy the birds through the window. Waited ages to ask for our bill... all completely ridiculous for a cafe where people want to grab a drink n some cake after a good walk and then be able to leave when it suits. WE WILL NOT BE GOING AGAIN... so sad after years of fond memories...

After an unplanned visit and coming across the orchard by accident its easy to recommend a visit. Free car parking and plenty of spaces. Very dog and family friendly with its surrounding area. Lovely welcome and good levels of service despite it being very busy. We had a table in the corner and felt relaxed throughout. Coffee was pretty good and the cooked breakfast was great. If I was being picky I'd have liked butter for the bread and my scrambled egg a little firmer but all good. Our dog really enjoyed her treats also.

We attended the Breakfast with Santa event for the second year running this morning and it was magical! The food was delicious, the service impeccable and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The cafe is a family (and dog) friendly restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating in close proximity to the Worcester Woods. Nett and her team run various events throughout the year and the staff are always helpful and inviting. Our go to for fresh air, fun at the park and great food and drink!

Just been for lunch with my husband and, as it's a warm day, we sat outside. We both ordered a chicken and bacon sandwich whichwas served on granary bread. While the filling was ok, there wasn't very much of it and the bread was quite dry. We had a flat white and a Kit Kat frappe. When the frappe came, with cream and crumbled Kit Kat on top, I thought it looked good. But, on trying to drink it I was bemused to find that it was so thick that I couldn't drink it through the straw and it wasn't bery cold either. I left it for 10 minutes while eating my sandwich only to find it was still too thick to drink. My husband got me a spoon to eat it with but it was unpleasant to say the least, I went to the hatch and spoke to a memer of staff who told me "Its' a frappe, they're meant to be thick" and offered to put mmore milk in it. This would have made little difference. The problem to me was that it hdn't been made properly, there was too much biscuit in it and nowhere near enough milk or ice,. I have had frappe;s before and know that they should not be so thick you can't drink them through a straw. The assitant did offer me my money back when I refused the extra milk but that's hardly the point. Maybe more training is required. We used to go to the Orchard fairly regularly but I think we'll be avoinding...

I'm so sorry to leave this review. I have just left The Orchard, and I'm not sure if I'll ever go back. It used to be well run, offering good food, good coffee and great service. I'm not sure how the food or coffee is any more buth the service is shocking. Walked in and stood by a sign that said "please wait to be seated". So I waited and waited..., if I hand not asked the server for a seat I might still be waiting, but even then she looked annoyed at being disturbing from her conversation and tried to take an order for a cup of tea! I asked for a seat, but that seemed a major task, so suggested a seat for myself, even though there were many free seats. Once sat I got my laptop out to do some work, and sat for 15-20 mins, being ignored be every member of staff, from servers, chefs and even the owner/manager. At this point I had not been acknowledged form when I had sat down, not had a food or drinks order taken. I thought enough is enough, packed up and left, walking right past the manager and server that I saw when I arrived. Both ignored me completely as I left and not a word was said. A very sad state of affairs for a one...

I agree with Kat below . I cant tell you how disappointed we were 😥The cafe looks great and we were greeted by a lovely waitress. We wanted to watch the birds and the waitress moved us and cleaned the table nicely . We waited over 45 - 50 minutes for our food which was bad enough. The nice waitress did come and tell us after half an hour they had had a big takeaway order in so there would be a delay, did we want any more drinks , we declined as it would have meant spending £30 on lunch with 4 coffees . . The food was presented nicely but it was cold - there is no excuse for cold baked beans when they are served in a dish , cold toast , cold plate . My husbands tomato cold and not cooked .

Unfortunately as I spoke to the couple next to us to ask their experience my husband paid .. he wasn't asked if everything was okay otherwise he would have said not . I certainly would have voiced my disappointment!

The couple next to us waited an hour for 2 pizzas. They were asked if they liked cake while they waited 😳 They were given a free pizza and coffee as an apology .

Certainly won't be rushing back which is a shame as the ambiance...
