Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Worcester

Three days running they cleared all the food and snacks away 30 minutes before closing to deter customers. Despite displays clearly stating that weekdays close at 6pm, when I went there at 4:58pm the server very curtly told me, “we’re closed!”. It was so rude. When we queried the time she said, “sorry but we’re closed at 5pm on Bank Holidays. I know it’s not 5 pm yet but by the time I’ve finished serving this customer it will be!”. She then argued that we should’ve arrived earlier and we should have seen the tiny notice at the other end of the counter that gives the early closing times on Bank Holidays. Her tone throughout was so aggressive but this Costa is in a hospital where people get bad news, are sometimes grieving and often feel more vulnerable. Horrible, horrible attitude. I don’t mind if you’re closed, but...

Served today by probably the rudest woman ever. Staff would do well to remember that visitors to a hospital are not there for a jolly, we are often there because something upsetting has occurred. That cup of tea, if accompanied by a smile or friendly greeting, could make a huge difference. When a relative is dying, you don’t need grunts and to be humiliated in front of other customers because you put your sugar in your cup in the wrong part of the cafe! Seats for visitors would be nice too…it’s February and very cold outside. I appreciate that the staff need a place to sit and unwind but surely 20 tables all for staff only (all empty!)...

Vile staff except for the lady called Gemma she's brilliant gets the serving done and drinks made all by her self when asking the other 3 members of staff for help and being ignored. Constantly at the hospital the last 12 months with my husband. .they put everything away at 5pm when they shut at 6!!
