Smileys Cafe — Restaurant in Worthing

Love this place, have lived round the corner and have done for nearly 2 years and only started going here a couple of months ago for our monthly family breakfast or lunch with my partner and our daughter (used to go to another, admittedly, very good cafe). My 4 year old daughter always has poached egg, beans and toast but being 4 she doesn’t each much and I think they charge a couple of quid or something for that - although I’ve never eaten them myself the poached eggs always look perfect. I’ve had a breakfast which was as you’d expect, but not greesy and very good value. But the thing I rave about is the chicken and bacon wrap I had, I ordered it expecting some standard dry, plain chicken and flimsy bacon with salad and mayo, what I got was really nicely marinated chicken, fresh tasting salad and crispy bacon in a very generously portioned wrap they are always so friendly and...

Absolutely delicious liver and bacon, served in onion gravy, with chips and peas. Clean, no fuss, great portion, mug of tea, can of coke. Everything just right. Lovely, friendly, efficient staff. Served quickly, food came in short order, was well cooked, and hot. Can't find a single thing wrong, and those who know me will realise how unusual that is! Proper greasy spoon except not greasy. I came here this morning on a spare if the moment situation and was not disappointed. When we arrived we were greeted and seated perfectly, when ordering I would have liked extra mushrooms but was advised that they weren’t stingy on their portions and they absolutely were not.
