Giorgio Ristorante Italiano Worthing — Restaurant in Worthing

The restaurant is in a good location and I have to say looks good visually and nicely decorated inside. Staff were friendly and pretty nice and the food looked well presented. Not sure if I was there on a bad day or something but I really didn't enjoy the taste of food. I had a pizza (Regina) for main and had to take the chicken off to try and improve the taste. The chicken tasted like it came from a "ready cooked diced chicken" packet from a grocery store, cooked in a microwave and sprinkled on the pizza...... Basically the chicken didn't taste like it wasn't cooked with the pizza hence no flavour in the chicken. Like I said the food looked very well presented even looking at what other people had on their table so I'm putting it down to a just bad day. Wish I could give no stars but, unfortunately, I can’t. TERRIBLE service, very unwelcoming. Waited for the ten minutes at the door, completely ignored, until we were seated. Found hair in our found not once!!! but TWICE. The second time seemed very intentional as it was placed on top of the food… how the server/cook didn’t see it is very mysterious to me. They gave me a wrong order and refused to take it back and the server was cross at my whole family even though we did not order it and were forced to pay for it. Had too many troubles in this restaurant and we didn’t even have any attitude towards anyone!!! We were calm and polite however we still received terrible service + food within just two visits. Never again...

Shambolic, staff not wearing any PPE, tables fully laid up, menus not disposable. Arrived at 7pm on 12th , after 30mins had to ask if we could order drinks, 10mins later our order was taken for drinks & food, 15 mins later 3 out of 4 drinks arrived!!! We have now been here for nearly an hour Then 15 mins later waitress comes over to us & says sorry only have 3 steaks left & not the 4 ordered. This was the final straw & we got up & left.
