The Zone — Restaurant in Abilene

Our first visit while attending a comedy show so I'm not sure what a regular day looks like at THE ZONE. Not to much to it outside but spacious inside. I have to admit, I did not have high expectations because it was also a bar, but this place was well lit and super clean. We are not big drinkers but everyone seemed to be having a good time. A very conveniently located club in the heart of South Abilene. They feature a good compliment of local artists performing on a regular basis, the layout is open and comfortable with a separate area dedicated for the floor section in front of the stage. First time here and it was very lame lol. Thought it was karoke night and had to pay 5 dollars to get in. We sat there and watched a bunch of old people dance to a 80s singing band that butchered a lot of classics. There was this one lady who was so fascinated with the band and kept taking photos with a flash in their faces and that probably screwed them up alot because they couldn't even see.
