Whataburger — Restaurant in Abilene

Absolute worst WB I’ve ever been to in my entire life. Over the past year or so they’ve gotten my curbside order wrong more times than I can count. I would say it’s wrong 80% of the time. I always check it. The one time my wife doesnt, guess what. It’s wrong. They shorted us a burger. Apparently counting to 3 is quite complex to those people. Also takes them waaay too long for curbside. Went in one time after waiting 20 min and 3 employees were sitting in a booth on their phones scrolling thru social media. Hope they enjoy working menial jobs from now on because their work ethic sucks. Manager never offers any resolution other than making what you should have gotten in the first place. And who wants to drive back up there after you’ve gotten home? Absolutely worthless. Wish I could give a minus star. They don’t even deserve one star. I’ll never go back. Go to hwy 351. Much better. Overpriced, overrated, mediocre fast food. They parked us and we waited over FIFTEEN MINUTES for TWO burgers while FOUR cars behind us got their order and left. When we confronted the manager about this she was rude and unprofessional. As we were about to the leave the employee running food to the car they parked next to us ran into our car and pushed the whole passenger side folding mirror out. No damage done so not that big of a deal EXCEPT instead of apologizing he simply shoved it back and walked away. Eaten here occasionally over the years and simply do not understand why people are such fans of this chain. Every location, every time, the wait is ALWAYS too long and the staff are unfriendly and unprofessional. My only hope is that having been bought out recently maybe things will start being managed properly or better yet they will get shut down and turned into something worthy of my business like IN-N-OUT. Will absolutely not be wasting my time with this shi**y...

I highly recommend if you visit the drive-thru at this Whataburger, always check your order before you leave. Since I moved to Abilene two years ago, I have visited this Whataburger location a total of twelve times between 2018 and 2020. Four of these visits were “dine-in,” which that service is excellent; I have no complaints there. The drive-thru, on the other hand, six of those visits, I received the wrong items and had to go back to the restaurant to correct these mistakes. Two of the drive-thru visits I received the right things, but the items were not fresh (cheese was not cooked, bun/biscuit was hard) and again had to go back to the restaurant to correct the mess-up. If you want an excellent Whataburger experience and have the time to drive elsewhere, I would recommend driving either to the South 1st Street or South Danville Drive locations.
