Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Abita Springs

This has been a new one for me, before moving here from Georgia I had only really ever experienced Chic-Fil-A and Zaxby's (Which isn't abundant here) so when my fiance suggested another fast food chicken joint I was a little apprehensive at first walking into this strange new land of cajun fried chicken and a special brand of Louisianan southern hospitality.

It was with a strange trepidation and and almost ethereal exitement that I stepped through the doors to the Louisiana kitchen to see the shining aura of the pleasantly smelling, bustling workers in the back that I began to see the allure and almost seductress nature of this hallowed ground for fried chicken. I waited in line the first time eyeing this strange new menu and with caution I walked up to the counter to be greeted by a smiling teen/young adult asking me to place my order. I quickly ordered for both myself and my fiance and with excitement began my vigil waiting for the food to be prepared...

The wait was fairly brief given that they were quite busy at the time, but with great reverence I took the bag from the smiling employee and walked out to the car. I checked the bag and was missing a side item and a biscuit and hoped that this small inconvenience would be rectified in short order and went back inside by myself and had a brief wait before I was recognized and then someone else came up to offer their polite assistance. I explained the problem and they reached back and fixed it for me in record time and apologized profusely for the foible of another co-worker. I told him it wasn't a problem and stepped out to the car and made my way home.

Once we got home and opened the bag it seemed to glow with a golden light, and the angels began to sing an ancient hymn as the chicken was pulled carefully out of the bag. Now, they may say that the competitor is Jesus chicken and they aren't wrong but this is something I would see back home at a baptist church get together and the other would be more at home in a catholic lunch-in. But as I took my first bite it was the perfect ratio of crunchy and juice and I was momentarily lost as I had a flash of my life go across my eyes and the cosmos had led me to this exact point and it was both beautiful and chilling at the same time.

As I began to take a sampling of both the regular fare wings, legs, breasts, and tenders it wasn't until I made it to the chicken sandwich that I found the holy grail. It was with this sandwich that the world began to form meaning and I could see into the 4th detention and the secrets of the universe itself were unlocked and I knew that no mere mortal could grace the earth with such divinity.

I would just like to give my deepest thanks and appreciation to everyone who could make this dining experience possible. From the service to the food, on multiple occasions now, it is nice to see that such an establishment...

My father and I had a horrible experience here today, 4-4-18. Just about the only thing good, was the wait time. Considering how bad the service was, I'm not surprised they were having a slow dinner rush. I had a shrimp poboy, which was alright. The shrimp was barely warmer than room temperature, but with cold dressings, you can only expect so much heat. But my side of fries was just thrown in the bottom of the bag. I don't know if someone decided not to use a container, or if that's policy, but that is disgusting. I was okay with mosteverything, but my father's food was entirely messed up. His fries and chicken tenders were cool to the touch. Not only that, but the fries were as well. It was less than five minutes after ordering that we began eating, so there is no way they had time to get cold. And to make things even worse, his 5 piece meal that we payed for, ended up being a 3 piece once he opened the box. Finally, the icing on the cake of this horrible experience, they had extremely poor customer service. With essentially no line, we were left waiting at the window for over 5 minutes. When we were finally asked for our order, the person taking it wasn't able to answer any of our questions, which consisted of asking if they had a certain kind of dipping sauce. My family likes Popeyes, and we will continue to go to the chain. But we will never return to this...

To say I’m frustrated is an understatement. We ordered dinner for delivery because my fiancée wasn’t feeling great today, and I wanted to do something nice for her. When we got our food, the sauces we ordered were not correct, the chicken on one of our sandwiches was almost completely a cartilage like texture, and the hand pie we received was not correct also. I know this seems like a ludicrous complaint, there are bigger problems in the world than this, however, ordering takeout in today’s economy is expensive and is done out of convenience or necessity based on the situation. We love Popeyes and feel that if I choose to spend my hard earned money, I should at least get what I paid for or at least some type of heads up that they had to swap items out. Furthermore, this been a consistent theme with other Popeyes in the area in that it’s almost always incorrect or missing items when ordering delivery. I write all of this to say, please do better. You would want the same thing done for your order and the same attention to detail given to your food. Sincerely, a...
