Been going there for years. Had minimal problems not something to complain about we just sucked it up most of the times. One day my wife had a complaint about some cheese not melted on her gits so she told the waitress(Jean). Instead of just taking it back to the kitchen Jean just kept explaining that it wasn’t her job to know if she wanted the cheese melted(I actually agreed with Jean). After about a minute at this she took the grits back to(Paul/cook/owner)and he came out to Barb and explained the reason to Barb and all was good. BUT when Jean got next to Paul and on their way back to the kitchen Jean called Barb a pain in the ass and it was loud enough to where I heard it. We told Paul what she said he said”Well I don’t know about that” Never received an apology but months later she lied and said she did. Let’s move on to 6 months later. I repair stuff for Paul plus we have good conversations about life. I had to go into the kitchen to talk to Paul and the place closes at 2pm and it was around 1:30pm with minimal customers around 4 people including me and my wife. I was in the doorway to the kitchen and a male voice from behind me said”EXCUSE ME”in a strong voice. I looked and saw I was in his way and I said I was sorry I didn’t know you were there and I moved out of his way and all he had in his hand was a coffee cup. As he was walking by me he was shaking his head back and forth a whaling his hands so I asked him why he was doing that and he said in a loud voice waving his hands at me”can’t you see we are working here”. I said you didn’t have to yell at me. Now he’s coming out of the kitchen and I moved to make sure I wasn’t in his way and as he was walking by I said”now why are you shaking your head? He yells your in our way and we are trying to work here. I said do you have to yell at me for this and I was only in your way one time and this is where Paul wanted to talk to me so don’t you yell at me do you understand. He said if your in my was I can yell at you anytime I want to get you to move. Well I wasn’t going to let a 17 year old punk talk to me that way so I went to the owner. To shorten the story they told me they won’t fire him(which is something I never even mentioned)because they need him and he only works the weekends so I should just come in during the weekdays. Sophie did apologize for his behavior but the kid didn’t have to. I told them they just lost a customer. Go to find out they said that customers saw the whole thing and it was my fault so I called Paul and he said just let it go I thought you were better than that. I said most men will not take a young busboy yelling at a them plus when did it become part of customer service for it to be ok to treat customers as such? It’s disappointing that we are the problem for complaining. Here’s hope much money they will lose. Three times a week at an average of $22 a visit times 3 days $88 times one month $88 times 12 months $1976 and all I want was an apology from the bus and he wouldn’t do it. I called today and the lies were coming out like running water. I started it I was out of control and everybody apologized. If I was the problem why would you guys apologize and my wife was there and saw everything and she agrees with me they could of handed it better but lying about it just make them look bad. Again this is sad because we really...

We're simple people, so we would always start with the same drinks and my bowl of fruit. After maybe 3 visits the waiter had this memorised and would just bring it out to us. As customers, he always made us feel welcome, comfortable, and important. It's actually easy to forget there are other people because this kid's service is that good!
All of the food is home made, but my favorite was the FRESH fruit. I'm allergic to melon and because the fruit is fresh, they just didn't chop up any melon to put in my fruit bowl, so the rest of the fruit wasn't contaminated. I could also get any fruit combination I wanted in my pancakes (just ask), and they actually put it IN the pancakes, not on top (banana strawberry is amazing).
The food is amazing, the service is great. The price is practical so you don't have to break the bank on a delicious brunch. I really miss our weekend brunches at...
Read moreWent today for breakfast with my sister. Once we were seated I immediately smelled vinegar. There was a small cup of it on the shelf to try and keep the bugs away. That didn't help because they were still flying around us the entire time. Our waitress never introduced herself. We received our food on paper plates but had metal silverware and mugs for our coffee and tea. They were the driest eggs I've ever had with NO SALT OR PEPPER! The waffle I also didn't enjoy at all. When I let the waiter know all she said was, "oh, I'm sorry. Why?" I told her and she walked away. Didn't ask if I wanted something else or to take it away. Matter of fact they took FOREVER to remove our food after we were just sitting there. We had to ask for the check...then a while waited AGAIN. Come to find out, we had to go up to the front and pay. This was only my 2nd time coming there with years in between. I will not...
