We've driven by this establishment countless times (live locally) and despite having a bad experience with them years ago, decided to give them another chance last night (Saturday). We chose the outdoor patio at about 9pm and there were two couples seated at tables and three patrons seated at the bar. We were hungry, thirsty, and looked forward to parting ways with some disposable income. We waited only a few minutes to be seated but once we were, the server completely ignored us, even though she was the one sat us. We saw one other server and a bartender and the patio was not crowded. The server that sat us busied herself with sidework then AFTER she sat us, she prepared an 8-10 top next to where we were sat, who arrived 5-10 minutes after us. She proceeded to bring flatware and menus to the table that arrived after us AND took their drink order. She finally acknowledged me after leaving the table that came in after us and acted like she was going to finally bring flatware and menus, maybe take a drink order, but then went back to doing side work. We left after a few more minutes and won't bother trying the Bayview Inn again. Waiting 20 minutes just to be acknowledged is completely unacceptable in the SERVICE industry. I'm patient and kind when it comes to restaurants, having worked in hospitality my entire adult life. I understand staffing shortages. That was not the case here. All three just simply and purposefully ignored us.

We moved on to McGee's in Williamsburg, which always has fantastic...

Not really impressed. We were a party of four, waited 15 minutes for fountain pop, then another 15 to have our order taken. Watched a few large groups come in, and then watched them get their food before us. About 20 min after our order was taken, we asked if we were going to be getting our soup/salads. Was told a rehearsal dinner had came in and got the rest of the soup but she’d check in our salad. Salad came out. Lettuce was brown... Meal finally arrived. Bacon on the BLT my Mom ordered was practically raw. I tried it and have never had bacon that was the consistency of bubble gum. My Dad’d meal was fine. My chicken strips had a piece of bone in one of them that I thought I broke a tooth on (it didn’t break my tooth). The place was packed and had great reviews, so I guess we just were the lucky contestants that nothing went right. We aren’t from the area, so they don’t really have to worry about loosing our business. We just weren’t impressed in the least and left still hungry. To go box? No thanks. I don’t think I’ll be craving brown lettuce with bacon rubber and chicken toenails...

Been going here for 30 years. I live just south of Mackinaw Bridge. Was in TC for the day and always stop for a few beers and a pizza on the way home. The place was packed owner met us at door and said to find a place to sit theirs seating in the next room . Everyone is drinking no food on tables? looks like a company Christmas party is going to happen, buffet set out in room were sitting in. We put our order in, Then they bring out a lot of food to feed everyone in the bar at no charge. Its customer appreciation night. Thanks for telling us OWNER as we paid $50.00 for pizza and another entree and cocktails, which was all set out on buffet table at no charge for customer appreciation nite. Not sure ill ever go back in to this establishment? Owner could have easily said its customer appreciation nite grab a beer or cocktail have a seat were bringing food for everyone out to enjoy shortly, instead he took my $50.00 and put it toward the cost of his customer appreciation nite. Found it hard to believe :( ..... i guess if your not a local to...

They seemed to be overwhelmed on a holiday weekend. We were told we couldn't be seated -despite there being about 4 open 4 tops because the kitchen was backed up and no orders could be put in for 30 mins -which was fine. The weird part was that we could order drinks at the bar but were not allowed to sit at the open tables ( per Management's rule), which we were eventually seated at when the kitchen could start taking orders again. I recommend sitting outside on the deck-nice view of the water. Reuben and ribs were very good. The steak was a good cut of meat but overcooked (medium rare was ordered but it was totally cooked through-no pink). The asparagus was less than desirable. The servers were nice and did the best they could despite management's rules about letting customers sit while waiting to order. Also, they were out of the ribeye and whitefish -which were our first 2 options, unfortunately.

First of all, the service was great, five stars. Bar tender was awesome. However, the restaurant is misleading with their advertisement of Walleye. Unfortunately, this place charges Walleye prices but serves the much cheaper, and less desirable Zander. Zander is a cousin of walleye native to Europe. Zander costs about half of what real North American walleye costs per pound. Photo below reveals the Zander skin. I didn’t complain and happily ate it because it wasn’t nasty and I was hungry. However, consumers should know what they’re being served and charged for, fairly. $20 for fake walleye is not a fair practice. Why is this a big deal? If you pay for a ribeye steak, you want a ribeye steak, not a slice of rump roast. Right? I have three stars because the service was good and I’m sure the rest of the food was good. I’d still go here and have a burger or sandwich.
