We found Crestwood Motel after being turned away from our original hotel because our dog was too large for their pet policy. The man at the front desk was extremely welcoming and accommodating towards us from the very beginning! The room itself was pretty nice, given that the motel is older. We had absolutely no issues with anything in the room, and it was very cheaply priced. Nothing spectacular, but had everything we needed! During our stay, our car key snapped off in the lock, and it was on a Sunday so everything around us was closed. Two of the guys worked for about three hours to get the snapped key out of the lock, and it was way more than we expected them to do for us. They also gave a ride to pick up a rental car. They really helped us out and we couldn't thank them enough. This motel is affordable and while it may not be a 5-star stay, the kindness of the staff thoroughly impressed us and made our stay as enjoyable as possible. Would recommend and would stay here...
Read moreCompared with all the other motels along US31 leading into Traverse City, this place is likely the lowest price. You get a small room, no doubt, but if all you need is to sleep and get a clean shower then this place works well. Our room was clean and fresh smelling, still small. You get a mini fridge, microwave, TV with cable. Not much storage room. Owner is fantastic. Howard will check in to see how you're doing, if you need anything and is all about service. There's a State park beachfront less than a a mile south, old town Traverse City is 7 minutes away. Old Mission Pennisula and Leland are both 15 minutes away. We enjoyed seeing everything, coming back to a nice bed to start over the next day. Don't expect many amenities, but get a great price for the room. Rooms are more cottage style (see pic). Big pic showing elegant "Acme Hotel" is NOT this place. Located 1 mile south of...
Read moreWe were late coming into the area and couldn't find any open rooms, my husband saw the sign for this motel and it's vacancy and my husband turned in. The sign said cheap summer rates. We booked our room and walked in, old rooms, not much care givenand small. We paid 150.00 and upgraded to the little cabin thinking we would have more room, which we did. You can see by the pictures that it wasn't very clean. Floor was gross, the dishes that were in the kitchen drawer had hair, also the tv remote didn't work and there was only one channel. My husband's exact words were "I am going to have to boil myself...
