I should have read the reviews first. I placed an order online, arrived at the estimated time provided, checked in at the counter, and waited. And waited and waited. I figured I'd be patient because they're new and it was a busy Friday evening, and no one around us was getting their pizzas either, so maybe they were just running behind. There were sure a whole lot of pizzas going out the back door for delivery, though, while I saw comparatively few being brought to the front of the house. After nearly 45 minutes, I checked in yet again at the counter to see what the holdup was, and was greeted and asked what I'd like to order, as though I hadn't been sitting there the whole time, never once offered any update. The employee then walked to the back counter, picked up our pizzas that had been sitting there all along for who knows how long, offering no apology until I asked how long they had been sitting there while I sat there waiting. Only then did I get a weak and insincere apology, just to get me to go away. If I hadn't already prepaid online, I would have walked out.
The pizza itself was just ok, though it was hard to tell since it was already old and cold when we got it. I understand they're new, but I didn't see anyone who looked like a manager overseeing the many employees who were wandering around the back with no pizzas to bring to waiting customers (or apparently not checking to bring out pizzas that had already been made). The counter area is chaotic, as eat-in customers don't seem to understand they need to order at the counter first before sitting and waiting, while those picking up orders look like they're in line when just waiting around, and far too many pizzas seem to be heading out for delivery and not prioritized for the people crowding around the counter and filling the tables, waiting and waiting.
I realize now the "sorry" I got was insincere and the "so what do you want me to do about it" attitude was to be expected, since other reviews indicate this seems to happen regularly. And the canned responses here to reviews similar to mine provide only excuses and empty promises to do better. None of it will persuade me to go back when there are plenty of better, friendlier and more efficient...

I visited on a Saturday afternoon and there were maybe two other tables seated at the time. They both ate and left while I waited for my takeout order. The cashier taking my order was very rude. I saw a couple of people come to grab takeout orders and she rudely just placed their boxes on the counter without a word. One guy just looked confused and said “Thanks, I guess.” in response to her attitude. After about thirty minutes I interrupted the lady that was texted or scrolling on her phone (not far from where another one was chopping veggies btw) to check on my order. She checked and miraculously it was ready after thirty minutes of waiting. I only had an 8 inch pizza and side salad. There was no reason for it to take this long at such a slow period. The pizza was poorly made with the pepperonis just thrown on in clunks. They didn’t even bother to separate them. The lettuce seemed right at the point of wilting. It’s a shame because we LOVE the salads at the other location. There’s no way I’ll be back with Mellow Mushroom right down the street. Again, my bad for not reading...

My first time going was nice and the pizza was amazing. But that Saturday was horrible. My son sat in the lobby waiting for our pizzas that were just sitting in the side rack waiting to be given to us. The staff was more concerned with doing the closing prep work than making sure orders were being passed out. Finally after waiting over 45 mins. I asked the cashier where was the pizza because I ordered 2 personal pizzas, it shouldn’t have taken 45 mins to make. Finally, she looked at the takeout rack and there was our pizzas just sitting there. I saw those same boxes when I first came in to see what was taking my son so long to return. Mind you I waited another 15 mins with my son in the lobby. No one cared, not one concern. I will not be back and it’s unfortunate because the pizzas are good but I rather go the mellow mushrooms.
