Sam's Southern Eatery - Ada — Restaurant in Ada

I see there are five stars and one stars on the review. Like another review I realize they are newly opened. Like they say you have only one chance to make a good first impression this wasn't it. The first thing I noticed on the menu what's that the hamburger had Mayo instead of mustard. When I ordered my hamburger the first thing I said is I want mustard onions lettuce pickles and tomatoes. What I got was a hamburger slathered in mayo all of my vegetables were drenched in mayo. Both buns were covered in mayo so I asked the waitress to get me the vegetables and I would eat my meat with my vegetables and put mustard on it and throw away the bread. I waited and waited for the vegetables and we heard her yell to someone that she needed lettuce and onions only. So I waited longer finally I just gave up and ate my hamburger meat with mustard thank goodness the mustard was on the table. I can't stand mayo. Just as I finished eating she came over and asked me if I still wanted my vegetables. I said not anymore. I think that was what really teed me off. Usually I don't do really bad reviews but the service was bad. The hamburger actually looked pretty decent just didn't eat much of it. On a positive note for the restaurant a friend told us how good it was but he got the fish, not do much positive...

Was super excited to try it out. Went in and was seated, looked at the menu and waited for the waitress to come back. They were just across the wall watching tiktoks, with no other background noise in the place it was quite obvious. I waited for over 20 minutes for my waitress to return when there was only 1 other table in the place. After seeing them bring the food out for the other customer, I asked if I could order, in which I was asked to wait a moment. I proceeded to listen to them watch tiktoks for another 10 minutes. I would've walked out sooner but I was in awe of the terrible service. 0/10 will never return. As a person with over 10 years of serving experience I have never experienced such horrible...

Long time foody, first time diner! Lol I had the fried shrimp po boy w/slaw & a side of fries (extremely hot be careful!) because I misread the menu & thought they came with plus a side. Other than that, it was very filling and pretty damn good! Idk what sauces I had but the very attentive waitress brought it out w/my meal, both are good btw. As a large guy I was happy with the serving size. Idk if they have any dessert but man, a nice hot blackberry cobbler and a scoop of homemade vanilla icecream would have been the icing on the cake for me! I'll be coming back for sure! Gotta work my way through the menu! I gave Pigskins a try a while back and NEVER went back, if yall did BBQ you'd put them out...
