I saw one of the employees get verbally attacked today at this Subway. I have eaten here many times, I must come at busy times of the days because the employees look like they are rushing trying to get a lot of orders filled.
This time was no different - it was lunch time rush. The couple who was in line behind us starting yelling and wanting her name because he felt she was being rude. He was threatening to tell someone, just because she was trying to make sure he got the ingredients he wanted in his sandwich. They have to ask you if you want the bread toasted. . . that's when he accused her that she wasn't allowing him to talk.
This doesn't sit well with me. Their job is not an easy job. It was lunch rush time, so they had lots of drive thru orders too. I totally confused her with my order because she needed to know what meat I wanted and I had garlic on my brain. He should give her a few minutes to get focused again after I confused her routine.
I found her to be a focused employee, who is probably doing more than usual because I know a lot of people don't want to do her job. It's really hard to be cheerful when your tired and people don't appreciate her; I bet many of them don't even say thank you. Her name was Jennifer, her manager I believe I heard Crystal was her name. I was extremely happy with my sandwich. I felt so bad for her that I told her I saw and over worked employee doing a hard job so we could have a really nice sandwich we didn't have to make.
I smiled and I said, "Thank You!" She smiled back. . . honestly she has a beautiful smile. I wish more people would try to make her smile ~ it makes their job more enjoyable.
Every time I have eaten here it's been clean and efficient. All of the employees were very nice to me. The sandwich was very good. . . Roast. . . Banana Peppers. . . Olives . . . Cheese. . . and Garlic Sauce. . . I forgot the lettuce, I had lettuce too.
I had a nice time eating my sandwich with my Husband who ordered a big sandwich so he could take half of it home for his dinner tonight. He said, "It's too hot to cook."
Thank you Jennifer for a delightful lunch. We will be back. . . they only thing we don't like is the drive thru menu. . . technology confuses my Husband. I hope the rest of your day was filled with...
Read moreThe Arlington Center is very popular among students from many towns due to school activities that take place. Workers were friendly considering the rush, however I went to pay using a Cash App card. My card was declined because they do not take Cash App as a form of payment. I was then directed to a drive through ATM, where I was charged about $5 alone in total just to withdraw money to pay for me and my sister’s food. This was my only form of payment, obviously, as well as most other kids my age and younger. There was no sign that stated Cash App was an invalid form of payment. This issue needs to be fixed, either by a sign or by putting an ATM machine inside of the Subway. How many other students could not afford to buy any food because of this issue? I would not want to imagine that. So note to self… do not come here again...
Read moreI normally order through the drive though and have never had a problem. Though, the past few times the card reader has not worked, which hasn’t been a major problem until my most recent visit.
I was unable to pay at drive through ordering screen so I pulled up behind another car at the window. I sat there for almost 15 minutes before I pulled up finally paid and then received my order. It felt rushed and the fact they had to run my card the drive thru person seemed frustrated at me.
I got home as took a bite to see that the lettuce I ordered on my sandwhich was almost non-existent. I waited 15 minutes for the car in front when they could have had them pull forward and not rushed my simple order. I was already home and did not feel like going back.
The staff are normally nice and cheerful but that day was a...
